Moon Fae and the Painter
Moon fae and the painter
"Purple purple was yesternight's moon ,let the blue one grace the sky soon " said the moon fae to the painter
To which He replied" that's upto the sky painter's collection of hue ,word is that He's only left with a few ."
"Painter with your few hues ,return the fae her dues ,paint the sky silver and the moon gold then my Twilight land would not be eternally cold."
Hearing this painter took His brush looked at the canvas of the sky , wondering if he mixes black and white and sprinkle in some dream dust, would it take away the the cold so rough
Would the lady be pleased would it be enough?
" Lady and the moon will not find their morning soon ,so white and black and Twilight blue with dream dust, painter make it new" replied the lady knowing His thoughts
" I will paint your sky red and your moon gold ,those colours I have from of old ,no mellow hues for you ,your heart so cold I always knew, is that what you want? What is your thought?". replied He thus
To this the Lady said " no mellow hues for my cold rose blood heart , I will have all your hues old and new as my due"

So the painter painted the sky red and the moon gold
And the tale is still told
Of the painter and the moon fae
Of their agreement and love of mysterious ways
It's a fable of ancient days.
