My Charismatic King, by Poetess Surabhi. A Loving Dedication to Her Murshid/Acharaya, Manatita
Poetess Surabhi Kaura
Sweetheart, my smile often thaws with admiration
Like the lush green meadows pay salutation
To the freshly bloomed Dandelions and Dahlias
When the satin heart unfurls
Her crystal Love in the mellow breeze.
This morning is cocooning new beginnings
As the fragile wings of humming bees
Prance over the velvety leaves
Delighting my twinkling eyes
With an enigmatic buoyancy.
A smile perches on my lips, and I wonder
I wonder… by my troth, whether you’ll be
The lingering fragrance if I’ll be a Rose?
But who has seen morrow, eh?
The eyes only dwell… only dwell
On the wee hours of the morning Sun
That lathers its warmth to the Soul
With a gentle touch of moistness –
Ah! A sweet mesmerizing aspiration!
I closed my eyes to capture the aesthetic moments –
The seconds, the minutes, the hours, the days
But like a whiff of a fresh air,
They soon withered away...
True are the words by the wise old men,
That life is all an encompassing sway
Or perhaps a paradoxical voyage.
I wandered hither and thither,
Perusing the magnificent creatures
Cushioned in the nature’s canopy;
By God! My Love,
They spoke in volumes to me
Echoing in the voidness of a deep tunnel...
That Love knows not ‘mine’ or ‘thine’
It knows not its origin or end,
For it is an imperishable sea
That replenishes the waves of bliss for eternity
And flows like a river of joy,
Unaware of the heavy winds
Encroaching in the sanctum
Of the Universal Soul.
My Charismatic King
Do you know something?
I am tongue-tied today in a peculiar maze
I have lost the key for the utopian gate
Like the fluttering leaves
Traverse in an anonymous forest…
Like the young lovers are lost
Imbibing the heady wine of Love…
Yester night, I treaded like a Swan
Amidst the opulence of a celestial pond
Where a goldfish waiting beneath the blue waters
Asked me of your whereabouts...
Aha! I smiled.
Well, what can I say?
When your name itself suffices…
He who resides in the stellar galaxies
Is beyond the mind
For he is rare of the rarest
Captivating all hearts with cheers
Than the shimmering stars for million years.
Yes, my Dear!
You are the answer to my sacred prayers
Your heart, your Soul, fosters an angelic aura,
Radiating a spirit of inner serenity
In orbit of your full cerulean.
Sweet Luna! Your petal face glows
With a perpetual brilliance
Outsoaring the glory of moonlight.
I know not whether I am frantic or romantic
But these sentiments have showered me
With the Ocean of Love, and
If such immersion is a delinquency,
Then who is the perpetrator?
I know nothing, yet I know of this linguistic
For it is a language of God
That is pure and innocent
And one that fetches laurels
In the alcove of a Bard.
Lo! There are two birds taking a pledge today
Leaving some traces of their vermillion ink –
That their Love shall always remain immortal,
That the dawn and dusk will ring
Eternally on the playgrounds
Narrating their own tales
And their loftiest songs
Will be sung by the young tails.
I’ll not be here, you’ll not be here either
Left behind will be the memories
In the Golden locket
Of timeless eons.
