Blues flying on the air...
Blues flying on the air...

Now come and take a little walk with me, right on down to the House of Blues,

There's a message heard in person, and not just on the radio, or in the news.

Rhythmic figures playing a horn and the drums, a piano's chords down deep,

A soulful voice full of life's misery brings a piece of it that you all can keep.

Old brother John plays on the clarinet while Big Jim's on his fine saxophone,

Tom's banging keys on his piano to wake the dead, one voice is heard alone.

Sister Eloise brings down the house, her soulful song, singing about the strife,

Every listener there in that House of Blues, all feels a part of this old heavy life.

As each drumbeat in the background's made, it sets the mood, over the place,

Blues music filters through the evening air, over the countryside, all embrace.

House of Blues tells the news, shared by a richness, and in its way, so sublime,

Reflects the downside and hardships faced in this life, all share from time to time.

Blues music plays, reveals the spirit, the soul, true feelings we all hold deep inside,

Its sounds fly on chords throughout the night, and to each listening ear to confide.

Along with birds, dances in the air, then's held in our hearts, and there to abide.

A little bit of hope to hold on to, this talent shared, as those ringing notes subside.

Acts of nature too are like none.

      Like purity of thoughts sublime,

      connecting hearts, mum,

      whonunuwho, is thou poem.

Thanks Eric and Shprd74 for your kind response. I considered a lyrical presentation at first, but decided against it. Thanks. whonu

I love the blues. You portray its heart and soul beautifully in this piece, whonu. Excellent flow. Now, I'm in the mood for some Stevie Ray Vaughan!
