Afraid of Getting In The Way But Actually Helping The Investigation

When we last left, off Jesse and Jessica were afraid they were getting in the way of the cops doing their job that they were so close to finding the kids that they didn’t want to stop helping. They were so close to finding the kids they didn’t want to give up now, they just kept thinking of themselves if they were in these kids positions would people stop looking for them, probably not and the more they thought about it, the clearer the place that they came into Jesse and Jessica’s heads. The graffiti and the pictures that had been taken were trying to tell them something and they were so close to figuring it out that they could almost reach out and touch it. Maybe it was time to really go and investigate the cabin because everything was leading that way anyway. So there must be something in the cabin that leads to the kids they just didn’t know what it was yet. The right guys had been brought in the for the abduction so the guys that had done the graffiti were free to go. But before they did there was a fight between the four of them that Jesse and Jessica got away from but they were sure to hear about afterward. It was something that they had helped with finding the guys that are and the cops wanted to keep them on the up and up with everything.

“ I think they were in the cabin somewhere, do you want to go back to it and actually investigate it and see what we find”? Jessica asked Jesse, said, “ Yes let's go and see if we can solve this mystery or crime or whatever we want to call it, it has become a little bit of both in my opinion but who knows.” Jesse said, Jessica only nodded she was in complete agreement with him. The two of them went back to the cabin tried the door, had to break it open and began rummaging around the cabin to see if they could find any clues. They had brought back up with them because they knew that they were going to find something, so a few cops who were not investigating the case were with them along with the dogs. The dogs did a better job at finding people then actual people did and that was why they were used in cases like these, even though Jesse and Jessica were doing a pretty good job with there minds they still relied on the dogs a lot.

The dogs were wandering around the property sniffing and once they got to the back of the cabin they began to bark and dig at the ground, which meant they had found something but could they really get to it from the outside the cops didn’t know so a few of them stayed with the dogs and a few of them went in through the house and found a door. They had to pry the door open because it was as if it was sealed shut because of the moisture in the air but, once they finally got it free they were almost in the clear. Once they stepped into the cabin however it took them a moment to look around and figure out where they were and what they were looking at. They could hear things coming from the floor which meant that was probably where the kids were being held but they didn’t know how to get to them from there until they saw the trapped door on the floor. When they tried to pry it open and it wouldn’t budge that was when they began to panic, how were they going to get the door open and set these kids free they were screaming because they didn’t know who was above them and they were scared. Jesse and Jessica couldn’t see the trapped door they just knew that it was there, so the cops and the two of them began pulling up the area rugs that were all over the floor making the room look carpeted and finally they found the door.

Jesse and Jessica couldn’t see the trapped door they just knew that it was there, so the cops and the two of them began pulling up the area rugs that were all over the floor making the room look carpeted and finally they found the door.

When they got the door open they could see eyes looking up at them expectantly but scared because they didn’t know who it was, and they were afraid of getting hurt by the guys who had kidnapped them again. They didn’t know what was going on and it was going to be hard to explain it to them from above when they couldn’t really see who they were. But Jessica decided to try and talk to the kids from above until one of the cops realized what she was doing and took over, “ Are all of you okay down there, can anyone tell us if you can get out there alone or do you think that you will need assistance”? the cop who was speaking was also shining a flashlight down into the hole to try and get a better look at all the kids that were down there. “ Yes but I don’t think that we are all doing okay, we haven’t had any food or water for awhile so we don’t know how well we are going to be able to move.” Some of the kids said, “ Okay we will come and rescue you don’t worry.” The cops said, at that, the cops realized that they couldn’t get them out themselves and they were going to need the help of the fire department so they dispatched them and within minutes they were getting all the kids out of the hole that they had been in for so long.

So they got the latter into the hole and the people that could climb up did and then the others were rescued by some firefighters and cops who were there. “ Are you sure it is safe, one the kids screamed before they all started to climb”, Jesse and Jessica screamed down to them that yes it was safe and the could climb up to safety. So that is what they did and soon they were going to reunite with there families. Once everyone was rescued the place was swept for fingerprints where the police and Jesse and Jessica hadn’t touched everyone went back to the station to give statements and get picked up by there parents. Jesse and Jessica were thanked about a million times, they were even told that there would be a ceremony to honor them for all the help that they had given the police for the investigation. Not that, they needed it but who were they to refuse the police chief.

Award of Bravery Ceremony

So they went to the award ceremony that was being held for them and they tried to make light of it because by then they were back to school and they didn’t want to draw attention to themselves but how could you not when everyone knew about it since the town was so small. Jesse and Jessica said there goodbyes once they left the police station, this time because they now wouldn’t be seeing each other every day since they went to different schools but for the there ceremony, they would see each other again but that wasn’t for awhile. So they said goodbye at the station and went there separate ways.

Three weeks later, they saw each other again with each of there families and entire schools when it was time to get their award of honour for saving the kids from the abductors. They had been arrested and were going to go to prison for a long time because this wasn’t the first time they had done this according to there records, but the cops didn’t want to have to deal with it again, so they were going to put them in prison for a long time and see if that smartened them up. Jesse and Jessica said hello to each other when they see each other the next time and this time they got to meet each other's parents which were a nice change since their parents only knew that they were spending time together not who the other person was.

Their parents weren’t worried but it would have been nice to put a face to the name when they talked about each other in front of them. Now they could do that and they were happy about it. Once they were in the auditorium or whatever it was that the cops called the room where they went to give awards out was, everyone began to clap for them. It was like they were the stars of the day, and indirectly they were but they didn’t want to feel like stars, they wanted this day to be over so that they could go back to there lives before any of this happened, even though they knew that would never happen because they were now good friends but they didn’t want to listen to there classmates complain about how many schools they missed and how they could catch up so quickly. That was what all their classmates were doing every single day and it was getting annoying they helped solve a crime and it wasn’t like they had a choice in the way that their brains worked. That was what they were more concerned with what people were going to think of there brains because they could remember everything and not everyone could do that, and that was why they had been able to help the cops and nothing else. Nobody really understood that, though, and they kept talking about it was driving Jesse and Jessica crazy.

Jesse and Jessica didn’t even tell their schools about the ceremony because they were afraid of what they might think. So the day of the ceremony they hoped that none of there school would show up because then that would just be something else to explain and they didn’t want to do that. They were just getting over explaining things, now they wanted a break but they didn’t think that they were going to get it.

Now that they were known by the cops as the kids with the good minds if anything came up that they think they needed limitless minds help they were going to call Jesse and Jessica. Not that Jesse and Jessica minded but they still wanted to be kids too, and they hoped that they could be, with there new life so to speak. Once they were out of the auditorium Jesse and Jessica got away from the crowd to talk for a little bit. They wanted to thank each other for there help. This was the first time either of them had made a friend that lasted or at least they hoped that their friendship would last.

Even though they hoped it would they knew that it was a friendship for life. They had done so much together. The police force was going to their friend too because they knew that they would call them again if they needed there help. It was something that they now enjoyed helping with and they weren’t afraid of using their gift because Jesse and Jessica both understood it and they didn’t think it was weird they thought it was normal and that was why they were such good friends and that was why it was going to stay that way.

Great Friendships when you both have limitless minds

The two of them were always happy now because they knew that they had each other as friends. The two of them now spent a lot of time together even when they weren’t working on a case because they understood each other and it was easier to hang out with someone who understood you than someone who didn’t. “ Hey, do you think when we get older our minds are just going to get better, or do you think that they are going to stay the same”? Jesse asked Jessica one day when they met up at the park which was now there usual hang out spot. “I don’t know but I hope we will get to know more things but still remember what we know now, wouldn’t that be cool”? Jessica said, “ Yes that would be.” Jesse said.

The End

Now that the limitless boy series is over what did you think of it?
