Can It Be Love or Is It Ecstasy?

Love is life. And if you miss love, you miss life. – Leo Buscaglia

Ethan slowly lifted Celeste into his arms after disposing of the drink and walked up the steps into the master bedroom. It was like walking into a fantasy. There was a huge oval bed covered in red velvet with silk sheets trimmed with velvet. Red rose petals were spewed all over the floor and bed which gave the room a heavenly scent. The walls and floor were brilliant white, and all the accessories were white trimmed in red velvet. There were double doors that lead from the bedroom onto a back balcony. There was a chase lounge with the same design of white and red velvet fur trim. Once upon a Fantasy could have doubled as the “honeymoon suite.”

Ethan took Celeste out to the balcony and laid her on the chase lounge. Then he left and came back with a beautiful velvet fur trimmed comforter from the storage closet. Ethan took the cashmere jacket off Celeste and quickly replaced it with the comforter. Ethan swiftly covered Celeste with his body and began to just hold her in his arms chanting over and over how beautiful she was and how soft she was and how much he wanted to possess her body and make it his. Celeste thought she would lose her mind if he did not make love to her. Ethan masterfully took control of the situation and Celeste felt that she was floating on a cloud of ecstasy. Liam had made her feel alive, but it could not compare to the tender, masterful touch of Ethan. She was lost; she was his.

Ethan seduced Celeste from the chase lounge on the balcony to the spa in the bathroom to the thick plush white carpet to the immense oval bed. Celeste had never been so thoroughly “loved.” Ethan was a connoisseur at the feast of lovemaking, and he knew beyond a doubt how to please this woman.

All the years that Celeste had been with Liam, she had never been taken to such a level of “celestial bliss.” It was as if everything she had ever done was leading up to this particular point. Celeste could truly understand what Ethan meant when he said that there was something “heavenly” about their being together.

What Celeste had with Liam was special, real and a millennial experience. However, it was nothing like the rapture she was experiencing from Ethan. Truly Ethan would be a love for all times, and he knew it. He was an architect, the Michelangelo of lovemaking. Ethan took Celeste to places she had only dreamed a man could take a woman. And when he had ceased his orchestra of love, they both lay together completely exhausted and extremely happy. Ethan broke the silence.

“Celeste, I never even attained this depth of intimacy with Carly. You have taken me to a whole new level of utopia. I truly love you!” He softly whispered into her ear. “I want to build us a beautiful home together. I want to share everything with you. And when the time comes, I want to die in your arms.”

Celeste was so overcome with emotions, she was crying like a baby.

"You have become a silver thread in the tapestry of my love, of my heart, of my soul!” Celeste proclaimed.
"You have become a silver thread in the tapestry of my love, of my heart, of my soul!” Celeste proclaimed.

“Oh Ethan. No one has ever said anything so beautiful to me. I thought what I had with Liam was a once in a lifetime experience. I can’t believe it could possibly be any better. But what you have just done, what WE have just done, and what you have just said will last in my heart forever. How could you ever even think about dying when there is so much life for us to share together?” Celeste cried.

“You know that I am not a young man anymore, Celeste.” Ethan said.

“We are almost the same age. Ethan; you have allowed your grief to tell you that you are too old to experience this type of love! But we are not! What we have is very special and I can’t bear the thought of you leaving me forever. You have become a silver thread in the tapestry of my love, of my heart, of my soul!” Celeste proclaimed.

“Then let us not waste any more time, let us get married. Tomorrow!” Ethan proclaimed.

“Ethan, sweetheart it takes time to plan a wedding. And, this is your first wedding. I think you should make it special. I also think you owe it to Ellie to tell her first.” Celeste said.

“Yes, you are right. I don’t quite know how she is going to take it. After all Liam is her son.” Ethan spoke guardedly.

“Yes, Liam is Ellie’s son. And I was Liam’s wife. I spent a lot of time with Liam and a lot of pain. I love Ellie and I believe she will understand that I must go on with my life. And that means now my life is with you, Ethan!” Celeste smiled.

“Thank you for telling me this. It means a lot to me to know that you are just as committed as I am in making this relationship work. I know we have what it takes, and we have known each other for years.” Ethan spoke.

“And, I never thought that it would be this way between us, Ethan. It happened so fast.” Celeste exclaimed.

“I know; it’s been so very long; I didn’t know I still had it in me.” Ethan said.

“You don’t anymore.” Celeste said laughingly and Ethan joined in the laughter putting his arms around her and gently laying her down on the soft Persian rug in front of the massive fireplace. Ethan seemed to never get enough of the sweet nectar Celeste provided him and she reveled in his every touch and his every kiss. Ethan was the master and Celeste a very willing slave.

As the sun slowly rises … so does their love!

My Chéri Amour ...

That next morning, Ethan looked down at Celeste in wonderment! “Twice in a lifetime,” he said aloud. Celeste opened her eyes and looked at him lovingly.

“What did you say, Ethan?” She asked sleepily.

“I said twice in a lifetime, Celeste, my little one, my chéri amour!” Ethan said softly with sincerity. “I have found love twice in a lifetime, can a man ask for anything more?”

“Or can a woman ask for anything more, Ethan. We have both been drifting through life, searching for something we thought we had lost never to regain.” Celeste said.

“Celeste, let’s write a play.” Ethan said.

“What shall we call this play?” Celeste asked enthused.

“Well—how about “Another Ride on the Carousel? What do you say?” Ethan asked.

“I say, when do we get started?” Celeste blushed.

Ethan started looking at Celeste’s unclothed body. He smiled.

“I think now is as good a time as any, darling.” Ethan thought.

“I mean when do we get started on the book, Ethan?” Celeste replied laughing.

“Oh—yes I know.” Ethan was embarrassed enough to blush. It had been a very long time since he enjoyed a woman, and never, ever this much.

“Let me call Ellie and give her the news.” Ethan said.

“She will never believe it.” Celeste countered.
