Chapter 2

“Suga?!”

“Mhm…” he grunted. He was leaning on a graffitied brick wall that had a few barrels by it. I saw that he was in pain and tried to help him sit on one of the barrels, but he refused any of my help.

“I don’t need your help. I can do it myself,” he said with a stern tongue. It took me by surprise and hurt my feelings a bit. I shrugged it off. Fine by me, I know I did not NEED to help, but I wanted to because it is common courtesy. It’s not like I sought to be here. I just had a desire to be home all comfy next to my laptop to catch up on my favorite shows that I missed tonight. The night already did not start the way I wanted it to. So, I decided to offer up my apology either way and reached into my pocket to pull out a business card (Good thing those are always in my pockets).

I looked at Suga with a look of impatience and tried to sound as calm as possible, “Sorry. Sorry for punching you in the guts and for trying to help you when you sooo don’t need it. If you want to sue me or what not, here’s my card.” I handed him my card and added, “Oh yeah, another sorry for ruining your night. Bye.” From there, I began to walk away until a hand grabbed my arm to turn me towards them.

“Ungh.” I looked up at a face covered with a mask and glared. “What?” I said with a bit of attitude, but not meaning to do so. Immediately I apologized for just that, “Sorry. I didn’t mean that, but mind letting go of my arm?”

“Ah! Sorry.” As he let my arm go and slid his mask down for me to get a better look at his face. It was the smiling face of Hoseok. “Listen, Suga did not mean anything by his actions. That’s just the way he is. I pulled you back because we really need help and I could not let you leave like that. Could you please help us?”

I thought about it. I really didn’t want to, but Hoseok asked so nicely and was sincere about it. I looked back at him, “Exactly what do you need help with?”

Someone else stepped forward and began talking, “We lost Taehyung and he is not answering our phone calls. We need to find him as soon as possible because he has a movie shoot tomorrow. We cannot under any circumstances report him missing. If we do not find him tonight, then we would be in big trouble with the agency. At this point, I do not mind getting in trouble because he’s a member, a friend, and family.” He seemed to be genuinely worried for Taehyung.

Hmm. “Okay. Assuming that all of you are the remaining members of BTS, would you mind following me to my home? I can go get my car and other things that I would need. I really wouldn’t want to do this, but I have no choice.”

“Uhm is it safe to go to your home? Is there anyone else there? And can we trust you?” This coming from the one who asked me to find Taehyung. I rolled my eyes, “Fine. Suit yourself. Oh, and I live alone because I don’t have people skills and I hate crowded places. If you didn’t want my help, you shouldn’t have asked me to begin with.”

I began walking towards my home which wasn’t that far from where I was. I was so annoyed of the whole night. Seriously, what am I? I tried helping them out! “Deep breaths. It’s okay, they can deal with it on their own. Can’t be helped.”

“What can’t be helped?”

“Ahhh!” I almost fell away from the voice until someone caught me. I looked up at the person, but I didn’t know who it was since he had on that masks and hat. Then I realized that it was one of the guys. I immediately jumped out of his arms and stood on my own.

“H-how long where you here? How much did you hear exactly?”

“I called after you, but you didn’t look back, so I ran after you to ask if it was okay if only I went with you. Afterwards, we can pick up the guys. Is that okay? It’s only because they seem a bit skeptical, since you’re a stranger they barely know. We ended up playing rock-paper-scissors. I lost, so here I am.”

“Ooh, can’t say I blame you. I was only trying to help you all. It’s human nature to want to help.” Eh, I don’t trust them either. In fact, I don’t trust anyone. People are all the same to me. They only mooch off others when they want something. This is a give-and-take world.
