Strength amidst the Storm
We all have times where we need to find a great and deeper strength that can overcome all obstacles. In these times the greatest possible strength goes beyond ourselves. It is in these times that it is essential to seek God. God knows our weaknesses and our greatest, most powerful strengths. God sees us for the beautiful creation that he intended us to be. God has not once given up on us and knows that we have the greatest potential imaginable. In God we can conquer all obstacles, we can face our everyday challenges, and do so with a smile on our face. In God all is possible.
In my own life I have battled with depression, Asperger's Syndrome, and anxiety. I know that there will be mountains ahead and I know that there will be storms that I will need to overcome. Philippians 4:6 states "We don't have to be anxious when we can freely talk with God about our needs. We can cry out to Him for help and He will hear us." Prayer is incredibly powerful, through God we have a strength that we might not have known about previously.
Challenges can be scary, and opinions may differ, but it is human nature to face situations from all angles. God is with us at all times and will help us in all of life's trials. Exodus 15:2 states The Lord is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. Victory is an obtainable goal, and one that we must strive to achieve. God wants us to defeat demons and hurdles in his name.
The bible is filled over the top with stories about people who could have given up on themselves. Moses, Daniel, Jacob, Noah, all faced multiple challenges, and emerged stronger due to the chaotic storms in their life’s. Storms in our life can come and they can pass, but it is how we answer the challenges and the hurdles that can make us victorious.
God gives us an inner strength that can overcome all challenges. We are not alone in our storms, in different points in our lives, we have mentors, friends, family members, and others that can give us a boost when it is needed the most. God has provided us with what we need to overcome all obstacles, and will continue to let us know within out hearts that we can emerge as victorious champions. In God we can achieve, and in God we can know who we truly are within his wondrous creation. As Yoda might say “Luminious beings are we.” As God sees us we are the shining light amidst his creation. God wants us to shine brighter than the stars, and have a deeper sense of his spirit than the deepest ocean. It is through God that we are chain breakers, and through God we can truly break every chain, and walk graciously with the ever lasting holy spirit.
Romans 5:3-5 states, “Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;4 perseverance, character; and character, hope.5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” Truly it is through God that we can persevere. It is in God that we are limitless, and it is in God that we can both climb and move the highest mountain imaginable.
Our hurdles through God become our strengths, and our obstacles, can become our greatest learning experiences. There are times where we feel weak, and there are times where we might begin, but we need to remember that in God we have the strength to emerge victorious over all of our struggles. In God we are strong, in God we are powerful, and in God we can achieve.
Isaiah 41:10 justly proclaims “ So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” It is with God that even when we doubt ourselves that we can find a stronger and renewed purpose, one with a shining spirit, and a will that is truly inspiring.
