Believe That God Is in Control of Everything

Don't be surprised when He asks you to let go of your good plans in exchange for His best plans. Dont be surprised when He asks you to forgive and to be humble. Don't be surprised when He puts you in difficult situations, because when God is in charge, there is growth, forgiveness, and eternal things that are worth the sacrifices.

Here are some of the things that God can do when we allow Him to be in charge:

1. God will make you an instrument for others

When we are following God's word, we can say that we are in the right direction, there are times that we stumble over temptations that would make us stop from following God's word but as long as we love God, we will never be tempted to evil things because of the temptations. So God will do something in us so that we can reach out to the people we love who don't know God yet. Through the hardships that we face, we learn and grow and so when we share it with others, especially the people we love, it will be easier for others to overcome the hardship, and at the same time, they will know where we have gotten the strength that they never had in the past. Just hold on to God's word and everything will follow.

2. God will sometimes make you wait

When we pray about something we really want to become part of our lives, God will work on it and will give us the best but remember, sometimes miracle takes time, so when God said, "wait and see as I move, my child" then let God do His amazing ways in our lives. God is our provider, so when we ask Him something, be patient and trust Him that whatever you asked Him, will be given to you. God is so amazing in His works, sometimes when He gives us something, it is going to be way more than what we have asked for. Waiting is not something to be frustrated with, in fact, there are so many things behind that "waiting" that are stored for us.

3. God will put you in a difficult situation

When we ask God to mold us, clean our hearts, forgive our sins, bless us and teach us, He sometimes put us in a difficult situation. For our character to be molded and hearts to be cleansed or turn us from impatient to a patient, He gives them to us because again, He loves us so much. When we are in our waiting season, while God is in process, our character is changing, from impatient we become patient. When we were at our lowest or darkest hours in the past, we only depend on ourselves and on our own strength, but our waiting season through the difficult situation we are in changes us to be good. Isn't it amazing that while God is in the process of our prayer, we got something already, plus once God is done with His process, we will get the answers to our prayers that we have asked Him for?

Let's thank God for being so good to us. He just does not give us what we've exactly asked Him, but He gives us more than what we've asked Him.

He is truly in control of everything. So when we are in a difficult situation, there is a purpose and that is to make you grow and not suffer.

Stop Depending on Yourself

Things will get harder and harder here on earth but God said "He has overcome the world". Believe that even if we give our all into something that we couldn't resolve on our own, it will never be resolved all by ourselves because obviously, we need a provider, sustainer, and redeemer, and that almighty God.

We all know that our strength is not omnipotent, so when we give our all to something, our strength will run out. So when we are facing hardships that require strength, in order for our strength not to run out, we need God. Even if you deny it over and over again, you can't erase or deny the truth that you need God in everything you do. So stop depending on yourself, instead, trust the Lord and surrender everything to Him.

Here are some examples that will make you depend on our God:

1. When we need someone to carry our baggage

Life is beautiful because God gave it to us and it is full of miracles and amazing things but while we are still on earth, it is inevitable to face trials and tribulations. There will be times when life will be hard on us because things are not going on our way. We become confused about some things, we become anxious and as if things are not going to be fixed anymore, and we become hopeless because we have been waiting for so long and still we couldn't see any progress. These things that are happening around us are not our job, they are God's job. Let God do His work and make Him busy because we trust Him that He can do so much greater in our lives than what we can do in ourselves. This baggage will only make your walk slower, so pass the baggage to God, and let Him carry everything for you.

2. When you are stressed about a natural disaster

For example, you are living in the province, you have a rice field and you are the one who is taking care of it. Stormy weather has come and destroyed your rice field. Obviously, you have no control over a natural disaster, even if you will get frustrated because hardships can come easily for us because it is everywhere, we couldn't do anything about it because we have no control over it. But one thing is for sure, instead of being mad when things get harder, try to calm yourself first and don't be mad, take a deep breath and remember the love of God that He has for you. Pray about it. When we pray to God about everything, He cleanses our hearts and minds, so we can think of good things to do and gives us comfort so we can refocus. It is normal if we get disappointed at first, but don't let your disappointment win and ruin your day. Surrender to God that He can make miraculous ways for you to see the sun again and make your rice field live again. Remember, there is hope in God, and there is always a rainbow after the rain.

3. When people around you are trying to turn you into something that you are not

You know to yourself that you don't get easily tempted to do something evil, you know to yourself that you don't get mad easily, you know to yourself that you are patient and not jealous of anything from others but there are just people who can provoke you to do such thing that you have never done before or you do not want to do it again. These are the people that you cannot control and you will never have. Because obviously from what they are doing, it is not something that is being taught by God and definitely not from the Bible. Since we do not have control over them, let God do it. We do not need to prove anything to these people, we do not need to explain to them how good we are and why we do not deserve the things that they are doing to us. Let God do His job. Be silent, cry out if you need to, ask God to heal you from the pain, and give you strength and protect you. God can do miracles in their lives to change how to treat other people. We may not know what He can do to them but definitely God will knock on their hearts. Never give up on these people, and pray for them because hurt people, hurt people, and they are the people who needed God the most.
