What are the necessary actions that can turn the tide?

The supremacy of God is visible in everything He created; to recognize and revere the Lord with the understanding of His supremacy that with Him all things are possible is to reign over all.

a. Recognizing God’s supremacy and abasing one’s power turn the tide. Whoever humbles himself before God and depends on His power will be divinely helped. This is exactly what Peter did while on the sea when he called unto Jesus for help and he was rescued from sinking (Mathew 14:30). Truly, no challenge of life can sink those who faithfully seek the Lord. We need the Lord to pull us up and rescue us from the sinking feelings threatening to overwhelm us. Thankfully, Jesus was very willing to lift Peter up and bring him safely into the boat. "And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down." (Matthew 14:32). “The Lord is ruler over the wind, the waves, and the situation you find yourself in today. And if you will turn to Him in faith, you will see that God is more than able to assist you and grant you strength in the midst of your weakness”- Dan Delzell. The Scripture presents the correct way to respond whenever we are confronted with a challenge(Proverbs 3:5-6). Always depend on the supremacy of God for a sure victory.

b. Praying fervently and worshipping God continuously are necessary spiritual reinforcements we need to turn the tide over. It is important to note that a praying soul is a winning soul. That is why the Scripture says we should pray always (Ephesians 6:8). Jesus lifestyle shows that anyone who prays according to God’s will receives answers out of His good will (Luke 22:36-39 & 1 John 5:14 &). Truly many have sought the face of God fervently and overcame their sinking challenges (1 Chronicles 4:9-10, Esther 4:48-58; Psalms 107:19-22 & Acts 12:5). Also, pray with a sincere and humble heart as you seek spiritual help always (Psalms 51:17; Luke 18:13 & James 5:16). Another way to turn the tide over is by worshipping God continuously like Daniel, Paul and Silas (Acts 16:25-34 & Daniel 6:10-28), but you should not wait until God delivers you from the challenge. Don’t forget that those who consistently pray and worship God because He is God who rules in the affairs of men rule over all situations (Daniel 4:17, Acts 13:2, 2Corinthians 11:25, 1Thess 5:17-18 & Philippians 4:6). Key into this spiritual strength and experience the desired turnaround in Jesus’ name. Shalom!
