The Steady Support

Most of the time, we see plants grow up on their own. For example, when we plant trees, we expect them to grow just like that.

When we plant flowers, we just know that if we take care of them, they will just grow and bloom overtime.

The same also goes with grass and weeds, they just keep growing back up despite being cut repeatedly.

But we often overlook those that grow just a little bit differently. Take for instance, vines.

On their own, vines are prone to break during its early stages of growth. By themselves, they are naturally weak and vulnerable. For them to mature, they require supports to assist their growth – things that are tall and sturdy such as walls, fences, or stakes.

Like these vines, we need Jesus. No matter how strong we think we are, by ourselves we will break. We need Jesus to lean on; He who will always stay beside us; and He whose strength is perfect.
