The Difference Between Mercy and Grace

The grace of God is being given to us even if we are undeserving. How many times have we broken God's heart? and yet we are getting something from Him that is so amazing which is His grace. We are all sinners and imperfect, we have sinned several times but through the grace of God, we are being cleansed and drawn closer back to Him because nobody's perfect here on earth. We have committed sin, we commit sin or we will commit sin, but through the grace of God, we will be forgiven so long as we repent. But if we are tempted before it becomes a sin, God is taking us out of the situation through His grace. I hope we ask for the presence of the Holy Spirit so we will be guided in everything that we do.

Here is the difference between mercy and grace:

Mercy - is God's pity, compassion, and kindness toward people. This is being given to us by God because we deserve something.

Grace - is what God does because he is gracious. Every action of God toward us involves his grace. His creation, His providence, His conviction of the sinner, his gift of salvation.

How Amazing God's Grace Is

Being imperfect obviously will not do good things all the time because anytime we can make a sin. If you are a giver, you will give, if you are a receiver, you will receive, if you are a maker, you will make, so if we are sinners, we will sin. That is the truth, let's accept that we are all sinners because we are living in an imperfect world and we cannot deny that.

Even though we are all sinners, God doesn't want us to live the earthly way of living. He created everything we see in this world and that includes us. He doesn't want His creation to be unpleasant. He wants His people to be righteous, so what He did was, He sent His Son Jesus Christ. Basically, the only thing we need to do is to accept Jesus Christ in our lives as our Lord and Saviour, through Him, we will be saved and our sins will be forgiven. That is where God's grace will come in because we have sinned so many times but God chose to give us His grace to be forgiven even if we don't deserve it.

Sometimes we would do something bad even if we know that it shouldn't be done. We will possibly do it because of having the wrong circle of friends then after a few days we are now having spiritual warfare within us. We are now starting to think deeply or realized that what we have done was never the right thing and definitely will never glorify the Lord. What happened within us was the Holy Spirit was guiding us on what to do but we turned our back to Him then again the Lord fought for us. He saved us and took us away from doing such things that will make us regret it in the end. We have sinned obviously and we don't deserve the forgiveness of God, but God chose to give us His grace in order for us to be on the right track because He loves us. That is how the grace of God works in us.

Truly the grace of God is amazing!

It's All About Grace

God is gracious. Graciousness is not something that He puts on and takes off depending on the situation. He is always gracious. He does not decide to show us grace. Rather it is just who He is. Because He is gracious He demonstrates grace in everything He does.

Grace does not come just to a lucky few. But is available to all who are in Christ. When I am in Christ, God's grace surrounds me. But just because it surrounds me does not mean that I either experience or enjoy it as much as I should.

Be strong in God's grace. It requires exercise to be strong. You have to work at it. Recognize that God is for you. That He wants what is best for you. Trust Him. Believe that He has your long-term best interest in mind.

Let go of yourself, of doing things your way, and of depending on your own resources. As you do, depending on God instead, you will grow stronger in his grace.
