40 Prayer Quotes to Encourage the Prayer Team

MsDora, former teacher and Christian counselor presents practical Scriptural principles for joyful everyday living.

Prayer teams intercede with God for others.

Prayer teams intercede with God for others.

Prayer teams consist of pray-ers who consistently, intentionally intercede with God on behalf of people or causes to which they are committed. They also nurture their own spirituality. We usually think of church leaders and church projects as their main focus; but in these days of unprecedented complexities, prayer teams within and without the congregation have committed to praying for health professionals, educators, politicians, families, communities, the entire nation.

People need people now more than ever. For those who believe in the power of prayer, the prayer team is among the most necessary, supportive, enriching groups to which they can belong. The following quotes aim to encourage members of existing teams, as well as individuals who consider starting or joining one. Be encouraged to pray for yourself and for others.

Lately, I realized that each time I pray, I ask for something. I read someone who said that if I do that to one person always asking for something each time I see him, he'll get tired of me. So, I changed. God knows what I need anyway so I made the encounter happier.

I couldn't find this in the feed yesterday, but here it is now! I wasn't quick enough to comment before it moved.

It's a lovely idea to have these teams. I know that prayer can do amazing things, even people getting together and just thinking of someone. It's important to know that someone is interceding for another - that in itself creates warmth and consolation, I think.

Great hub with some inspiring quotations, Dora! Thank you.

Ann

Very beautiful article, Dora. I liked your topic around praying for others.

We are also praying here, online, as a group of around 25,000 persons for the health and safety of all in the universe. It is a wonderful experience for us, started by our present Guru Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamy.

It provides happiness and satisfaction besides the spiritual bliss that we enjoy while praying peacefully. It takes only 5 minutes. And we can do it as many times as we can in a day throughout our life.

I liked your quotes (especially some of those) like the 16th, 19th, 28th, 36th, and the 40th ones.
