Faithfulness is the practice of being honest and loyal to someone or something. It is the concept of being true and just to God, to others, and to yourself. People who are faithful can be trusted to do what they say they will do. They are the ones who can be depended on in all circumstances.

A lot of people insist they are faithful. However, being faithful is more than people merely saying they are faithful. Faithfulness or lack of it is demonstrated on a daily basis by words and deeds. Everybody's desire should be to hear God say the following words:

"Well done, good and faithful servant."

Look those the following ways to see if you are as faithful as you think you are. If not, make the necessary adjustments in your life to become faithful.

1. Faithful People Have Core Values

A good demonstration of who is faithful is to take a look at what the person values. A faithful person has core values that do not change no matter how much they are coerced to do so. They stick to what they believe and are not tossed and turned on a whim.

A faithful person knows what’s important in life, and he sticks to it even if it means losing friends.

2. Faithful People Obey God's Commands

In 1 Samuel 2:35, God says, “I will raise up a faithful priest who will serve me and do what I desire.” In other words, God defines faithfulness as being obedient to what He desires, and what He desires is outlined in the commandments in the Holy Bible.

Keep in mind that delayed obedience is disobedience. Also, partial obedience is disobedience. Therefore, do what God commands when He commands it and do everything He says.

3. Faithful People Care for Others

Faithfulness to God is demonstrated by caring for others. It is being God's hands to the needy. A faithful person is not a selfish person. He knows how to invest his life not only in what is important to him, but he also cares about what is important to others and what happens to them. A faithful person seeks first the kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33) as well as helping others do the same.

A faithful person is not limited to merely asking a person if he is hungry. A faithful person is one who sees a hungry person and presents a meal to him.

4. Faithful People Are Honest

Honesty is a mark of faithfulness and a testimony to unbelievers. Faithful people are those who are honest with themselves, with others, and before God. A person who lies, steals, gossips, and mistreats others can't be described as being faithful.

5. Faithful People Keep Their Promises

When God evaluates your faithfulness, he’s going to look at all the promises you made. Ecclesiastes 5:5 says, "It is better not to vow than to make a vow and not fulfill it."

It is much easier for some people to say they will do ten things than it is to do one thing. The Bible says faithfulness is a matter of if you say it, you do it. Faithful people keep their promises.

6. Faithful People Use Their Gifts to Help Others

Faithfulness is based on what we do with what we have been given. Faithful people use their God-given gifts and talents, not for selfish reasons but to help others. The gifts and talents God gave us are His investment into our lives, and He expects a return on them.

First Peter 4:10 says, “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.” If you don’t use your gift to help others, people get cheated and God gets nothing for investing into you.

Be faithful by using your God-given gifts to help others, according to 1 Peter 4:10..

7. Faithful People Share the Good News

The gospel message is the good news of the saving power of Jesus Christ. We should live our lives as a testimony to others. Once we learn a spiritual truth, it is a sign of faithfulness when we pass it on to others.

8. Faithful People Bear Fruit

Faithfulness is a fruit of the Holy Spirit, according to Galatians 5:22-23. People who are faithful demonstrate it by their actions. They can say they are faithful, but their faithfulness comes into question when they do not bear the fruit of faithfulness.

You can tell who is faithful when they follow all the examples outlined in this article.
