Feature Article 2: How to Get a Strong Relationship with God

The most significant aspect of our lives, just like relationships with other people, is our relationship with God. Between you and Him, there is friendship, love, and trust. We were made for a relationship with God. God intends for our relationship with Him to be strong.

Is my connection to God sufficient? Is it deserving? Can it exalt God? sad but accurate Without realizing it, there are occasions when we must choose between a solid relationship with others and worldly things that are rife with temptation. We lacked the knowledge necessary to follow Him, spend time with Him, interact with others, or converse with Him. As Christians, we therefore need to understand the truth and what is right and wrong. also to demonstrate God's wonderful relationship with His followers. He gives His life for us, out of the deepest love.

Here are the steps to getting a strong relationship with God: 

1. Pray and meditate on God's word while spending time with him.

Through prayer and reading the Bible, you can communicate with God; you can spend time with Him discussing whatever problems or struggles you have and what you want to ask Him. He is always there for you to comfort you and provide for your needs, and most especially is to loved you.

2. Wherever, pray to God

Pray constantly and without ceasing wherever you go, communicating with Him in every location. It is important to maintain a prayerful attitude and to keep God at the forefront of your thoughts at all times. Therefore, the first thing you do when you have a challenging task to perform is pray. Alternatively, you may thank God right away when something wonderful occurs in your life.


3. Establish connections with people.

In order to become closer to God, Christians must also cultivate their relationships with others. We must stronger our faith to Him. Additionally, relationships with others assist us to grow spiritually by helping us learn and develop as like-minded Christians.


4. Decide to put your complete trust in Him.

Trusting Him all the time, for He knows what is best for you. In Proverbs 3:5, it says, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” The verse instructs us to put all our trust in the Lord and not in our own knowledge. For God's knows everything and what is the best for you.


5. Keep your relationship with God separate from other people's relationships.

Your relationship with God is quite different from relationships with other people because it is exceptional and unlike any other relationship. So never evaluate your connection with respect to others.


6. Adhere to Jesus Christ

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man comes unto the Father but by me” (John 14:6). Building a connection with God involves learning about Jesus and His teachings. Jesus set the ideal example for us to imitate. He imparted to us life lessons and social graces. He struggled and died for our failings and difficulties so that, through Him, we can find fulfillment in this life. He is the greatest gift from God to us.

By placing your faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord, you can start your own personal relationship with God. We no longer had a relationship, but God had already made up for it.

"What we were unable to do for ourselves, Jesus Christ came to do." For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16

He entered the world in order to reconcile us to his Father. Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life." No one comes to the Father except through Me.’ ” (John 14:6)

As a result, it serves as our main motivation in life. We can have a close and lasting relationship with God since He is our benevolent father.
