There Is Always Sunshine After the Rain

Whenever we are thinking about the things going on around us, most of the time we are too focused on the negative side. Sometimes, when we are too focused on our worries. We tend to think over and over until we get stressed out about it and depressed about it and have no peace of mind because all the "what ifs" keep bothering us, it keeps on whispering in our ears, shouting in our minds, and making us see the dark side. On the other hand, when we have "even ifs" in our minds, this makes us a warrior because we know God is with us in every fight.

Indeed, there will be rainy days in our lives that sometimes we just want to cry instead and quit but always remember those days are just temporary. Keep in mind that every rainy day is the day for us to level up or to become fully charged instead of dwelling on the negative side and being drained or hopeless. This should be the day of more learnings to apply in the next trials or share with others to become their guide to overcoming hardships. Rainy days may look so hopeless, full of hardships, and sad but we should not rely on how it looks. May we see the beauty of our rainy days even if it is going to take a long time of having no sunshine to give us light. Because remember, we should be living by faith and not by sight.

Difference Between “Even If” and What If”

Let's dig deeper into the difference between "What if" and Even if":

What if - This makes you worry a lot and lets you think of the future in advance even if you know that you have no control over it because you keep asking this to yourself. We tend to become excited whenever we keep on thinking about the "what ifs" in our lives, but at the same time we become anxious too. The more think about the "what ifs" the more we let ourselves become afraid of chasing our dreams, being true to ourselves, loving again after being too much in pain, and forgiving people who have done something below the belt to us. Truly, we can't avoid thinking about the "what ifs" in our lives especially when we are expecting and waiting for something but I hope we can still find happiness whenever these "what ifs" keep bothering us. May we ignore asking this to ourselves and choose peace. This makes us think negatively and quit.

Even if - May we choose to think about all the "even ifs' because this gives us hope when we are in a tough situation. It makes us tell ourselves that no matter how hard life gets, we can always overcome it and makes us think that we can fight and no room for giving up. This makes us worry no more especially if we are clinging to God's word and trusting Him fully. The more we read the word, the more we think of the "even ifs" because when we overcome it, we will become way stronger than before and life will just be more understandable to us because our eyes are fixed on Jesus. When these "even ifs" become our word for ourselves whenever we are facing hardships, we will never think about losing hope and will never be confused about why life is getting harder. Remember, Jesus never said that life is easy but we can always overcome troubles with Him and not all by ourselves. This makes us think positively and hopeful.

Is Your Mind Keeps on Giving More “What Ifs”?

We all know that minds are powerful and that is true because the more we train them to think of a lot of negative things, it can also end up being a habit. Our minds can be trained, yes! you read it right. Our minds know how to listen and follow us if we train them to avoid negative thoughts and just focus on the positive ones. The more we train our minds to the same thing over and over again, it will follow us. If we can be anxious about something because we let our minds think about our worries, why don't we turn things around and start to be hopeful about some things because we are letting our minds focus on the word of God that makes us more encouraged?

If those "what ifs" keep bombarding you and stealing your peace, just keep fighting by reading the bible and start clinging to the word of God. The more you read the bible, the more you have weapons to defeat the "what ifs" and avoid being worried about tomorrow.

Remember, God doesn't want us to live a life full of worries. He simply wants us to trust Him because He is the one who holds the future.

Matthew 6:34

Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” We are to give our worries to Him because He walks through things with us.
