A Song - I Have Lifted Up My Eyes Unto the Lord

  • Author:

Singing and composing hymns and other songs have been part of my life since my teenage days

Composer's Foreword

After my midnight watch, the tune and the chorus of the song is given me in the dream. When I woke up, I checked through the pages of the greatest and unfailing book given mankind - The Holy Bible - and have used the book of Psalms 121 to compose the stanzas.

It is my firm believe in the Lord that as we sing this song in worship, the Lord will hearken to our cries and hasten himself to help and deliver us in Jesus name. Amen

Thank you.

Composed Song

1) Unto the hills I have lift'd up mine eyes Lord

Where you oh Lord are sit as King for ever Lord

For from where will my help come from?

My help Lord will come from you Lord

Because you are the Creator of heaven and earth

Oh Lord my God...

2) I know my Lord won't suffer my foot to be moved

For him alone is the one who keeps my life alive

The great God will neither slumber

Nor will he close his eyes to sleep

He's my Keeper the Creator of the universe

Oh Lord my God...

3) Almighty God under whose shadow I abide

He is my shade ever present at my right hand

He won't allow sun to smite me by day

Nor the moon to smite me by night

'CauseHe is my help and he is my great preserver

Oh Lord my God...

4) Oh Lord my God greatest preserver of mankind

I know that Lord 'll preserve me from all evils

It's certain that he 'll preserve my soul

My going out yea my coming in

Will the Lord God preserve now and forever more

Oh Lord my God...

5) Upon your hill Lord is deliverance and healing

Upon your hill Lord is holiness an' righteousness

Oh my Lord hasten to help me

Alone I cannot do a thing

Oh Lord my God hasten to help me I pray oh

Oh Lord my God...
