A Hymn: Your Reasonable Service

Singing and composing hymns and other songs have been part of my life since my teenage days

Composer’s Foreword

I am not good in notes, but from the local church trainings while in choir, I have come around with this hymn using another hymn. If you know the hymn beneath, then you can join me to sing this song unto the Lord.

Let Us with a Gladsome Mind (Monkland)

The Composed Song

1. I implore thee oh dear brethren

That ye present thine bodies

Holy unto our dear God

By mercies of God do this

2. Your reasonable service is

Offering yourself even unto God

As acceptable offering

By mercies of God do this

3. While on earth your body is

A livin’ sacrifice unto God

Dedicate your body to Him

By mercies of God do this

4. Conform not thine bodies to

‘Ven the standards of this world

But be transformed inwardly

By mercies of God do this

5. Have a complete change of mind

To know what God’s will ‘ven is

That ye may prove what is good

By mercies of God do this

6. This is God’s will even for you

Acceptable and perfect

Yea thine reasonable service

Being a complete transform man
