A Hymn: What Is Very Scarce to Do
Singing and composing hymns and other songs have been part of my life since my teenage days
Composer’s Foreword
I am not good in notes, but from the local church trainings while in choir, I have come around with this hymn using another hymn. If you know the hymn beneath, then you can join me to sing this song unto the Lord.
Let Us with a Gladsome Mind (Monkland)
The Composed Song
1. God hath also shown his love
He has shown the greatest love
When he sent his son to the world
To even die for our sins
2. Very rarely will you find
Anyone who ‘ll want to die
Even for a righteous man
Who’s present in society
3. But even for a good man
Peradventure we ‘ll see someone
Who will dare to also lay
His soul down for his own
4. When we couldn’t find someone
Who will die for a righteous man
Nor for a good man on earth
How many more we who are sinners
5. Even in this hath we find
Incomparable love that God
Even hath for human race
Because everyone has sinned
6. Everyone living on earth
Has sinned and has fallen short
Of the glory of the Lord God
Sin has made us filthy to him
7. But the greatest love of God
Hath been shown to us sinners
Even in this also that
Christ hath died ‘ven for our sins
8. This incomparable love
In heaven and on the earth
That a man lays even his soul
Down for us even the sinners
9. Even this highest grace that
Hath appeared unto all men
You should please accept this grace
So that you ‘ll not be condemned
