A Hymn: Thou Crownest The Year with Thy Goodness

Singing and composing hymns and other songs have been part of my life since my teenage days

Composer’s Foreword

I am not good in notes, but from the local church trainings while in choir, I have come around with this hymn using another hymn. If you know the hymn beneath, then you can join me to sing this song unto the Lord.

Simply Trusting Every Day

The Composed Song

1. Praise waiteth for thee oh God

In the nations of the world

On our mouths thine own children

Even for yearly blessings

Thou visiteth ‘ven the earth

And yea even year by year

Thy good ness thou hast even

Useth in crowneth each year

2. Thou hast waterest even the earth

And maketh shrubs to spring forth

‘Cause thy river oh dear God

Is full of many water

3. Thou enriches even the earth

Thou preparest them the corn

Even from the everlasting

Thou hast been blessing the earth

4. Thou raineth also on the earth

Thou blessest its springing forth

Drop they ‘pon pastures w’lderness

And the hill leap up for joy

5. The pastures are ‘ven singing

The valleys are not silent

Because thou hast adorned ‘em

They all are shouting for joy

6. Blessed even is the man

Whom thou choosest to ‘proach thee

That he may dwell in thy courts

That he may eat thy goodness

7. Oh thou that heareth prayer

All of us ‘ll come to thee

Thou should please hear our prayers

Crown our lives with thy blessings
