A Hymn: They Reject the Second Chance #1
Exploring my talent, putting it into use in the literary world for the benefit of humanity and promotion of communication
Composer’s Foreword
I am not good in notes, but from the local church trainings while in choir, I have come around with this hymn using another hymn. If you know the hymn beneath, then you can join me to sing this song unto the Lord.
(It should be noted that the story composed into song is historical and have been composed in a historical format, even without the knowledge of music anyone who reads the wordings of the song would also love what he reads, for it is agelong history attested to by historians after several researches, that indeed there was once a man called Nebuchadnezzar who ruled the entire world during his days. I trust you will be blessed by the wordings of this song.)
The Composed Song #1
1. The great King Nebuchadnezzar
Who ruleth over the ancient world
Has set his golden image
But God saves His Own
2. He called captains, gov’nor and princes
Judges, treasurers, counselors
To come to the dedication
But God saves His Own
3. The sheriffs and all rulers
Of the provinces and of the lands
Were all invited to the dedication
But God saves His Own
4. The news of the dedication
Were heralded in a loud voice
To nook and crannies of the land
But God saves His Own
5. Musicians from all the lands
And all instrumentalists
Were gathered at plain of Dura
But God saves His Own
6. Different types of instruments
Like trumpets, zithers, harps an’ lyre
Were there to exalt the image
But God saves His Own
7. At a set time the king hath said
All humans on earth will hear
The sounds of these instruments
But God saves His Own
8. When they hear sounds of instruments
Being played by the musicians
He orders all to worship the image
But God saves His Own
9. He orders that all bow down
Yea, to worship the golden statue
Which he the king has set up
But God saves His Own
10. At the appointed time by the king
‘Nstrumentalists an’ Musicians
Even played all the instruments
But God saves His Own
11. Sounds of all the instruments
Were heard by all far and near
Many hast’n to obey the king
But God saves His Own
12. People from all the nations
They bowed to worship gold statue
Which the great king has set up
But God saves His Own
13. Three members of the king’s court
However did not bow down
To worship the golden image
But God saves His Own
14. Reports of their misdemeanor
Were taken unto the great king
The great king asks who they were
But God saves His Own
