A Hymn: Rejoice Not Against Me, O Mine Enemy: When I Fall, I Shall Arise
Singing and composing hymns and other songs have been part of my life since my teenage days
Composer’s Foreword
I am not good in notes, but from the local church trainings while in choir, I have come around with this hymn using another hymn. If you know the hymn beneath, then you can join me to sing this song unto the Lord.
O come, O come, Emmanuel - (Piano/Cello) - The Piano Guys
The Composed Song
1. When am walking along in darkness
Yea e’en the shadow of death
When it seemeth as if the light
Will no longer shine for me
Refrain
‘Joice not ‘gainst me mine enemies
When I fall I shall also rise
When I sit even in darkness
The Lord shall be light unto me
2. When I was in the wilderness
That there’s no food I can eat
And there’s no water I can drink
That am weary of life
Refrain
3. When the red sea even lieth afore
And Pharoah’s chariots come behind
Mount at right-hand, valley at left hand
With no escape route for me
Refrain
4. When I have e’en lost everything
That I ‘ve ever worked for in life
And my parents, wife, or husband
Have even forsaken me
Refrain
5. When I have lost all my children
And my wife or my husband dies
That I do not have hope again
Nor do have I e’en a helper
Refrain
6. Though I even fall seven times
Yet will I ‘lso rise again,
‘Cause the Lord hath even hold me
And He ‘ll not even leave me
Refrain
7. My enemy don’t ‘joice ‘gainst me
Even when am in distress
‘Cause the Lord knows ‘bout ‘verything
That I am passing through
Refrain
