Composer’s Foreword

I am not good in notes, but from the local church trainings while in choir, I have come around with this hymn using another hymn. If you know the hymn beneath, then you can join me to sing this song unto the Lord.

The Composed Song

1. It is the Lord who is my light and my salvation

I will praise the Lord who is my strength

The Lord is the strength of my life, I will not be afraid

I will praise the Lord who is my strength

Chorus

Oh with my whole heart will e’en give praise to the Lord

And even before the gods

There I ‘ll sing praise unto Thee

‘Cause of thy lovingkindness and because of thy truth

I will praise the Lord who is my strength

2. Even when the evil people and enemy came upon me

I will praise the Lord who is my strength

Because that they will stumble and that they will fall

I will praise the Lord who is my strength

Chorus

3. Though the host encamp against me my heart shall not fear

I will praise the Lord who is my strength

Though the war rise against me my heart ‘ll be confident

I will praise the Lord who is my strength

Chorus

4. “Cause during the period of trouble he also will keep me

I will praise the Lord who is my strength

And inside his pavilion also will he hide me

I will praise the Lord who is my strength

Chorus

5. It’s then that he shall lift me up to the mountain top

I will praise the Lord who is my strength

My head has now been lifted than the head of the enemy

I will praise the Lord who is my strength

Chorus

6. When my father and my mother even forsake me

I will praise the Lord who is my strength

Even then the Lord ‘ll arrive and he ‘ll take me up

I will praise the Lord who is my strength

Chorus

7. One thing that I have desire of the Lord’s hand is

I will praise the Lord who is my strength

To be dwelling in his house all the days of my life

I will praise the Lord who is my strength

Chorus
