Composer’s Foreword

I am not good in notes, but from the local church trainings while in choir, I have come around with this hymn using another hymn. If you know the hymn beneath, then you can join me to sing this song unto the Lord.

O God of Bethel! By whose hand

The Composed Song

1. It’s better to trust in the Lord

Than put confidence in

Man that’s covered even with flesh

Whose breath is in his nostrils

2. It’s better to trust in the Lord

Than put confidence in

Those who are the princes of all

The nations of the earth

3. It’s better to trust in the Lord

Than put confidence in

Chariots neither horses of war

Nor even the soldiers

4. It’s better to trust in the Lord

Than put confidence in

The bow, the spear neither the sword

Nor other ‘srtuments of war

5. It’s better to trust in the Lord

Than put confidence in

The silver, the gold neither the pearl

Nor multitudes of wealth

6. It’s better to trust in the Lord

Than put confidence in

The idols of all the nations

Because they are not God

7. It’s better to trust in the Lord

Than put confidence in

Even the priests and the prophets

‘Cause they are human beings

8. It’s better to trust in the Lord

Than put confidence in

The kings and also those who are

Leaders of the nations

9. It’s better to trust in the Lord

Than put confidence in

Father, mother neither elders

Juniors nor the relatives

10. It’s better to trust in the Lord

Than put confidence in

Principalities and powers

And rulers of this darkness world

11. It’s better to trust in the Lord

Than put confidence in

Husbands, wives neither the children

Nor even those called friends
