Singing and composing hymns and other songs have been part of my life since my teenage days

Composer’s Foreword

I am not good in notes, but from the local church trainings while in choir, I have come around with this hymn using another hymn. If you know the hymn beneath, then you can join me to sing this song unto the Lord.

Weeping will not save me by Robert Lowry

The Composed Song

1. Sometimes back I was within

Deep within a great sorrow

And there’s no way of escape

And I don’t know what to do

That my way is disordered

Jesus wipes my tears away

Jesus has given me joy

He gives me surpassing joy

And his joy is my strength.

2. Sometimes back tear has even been

My very food day and night

When enemy continually say

That where even is my God

That there is no way of escape

3. Like a sword inside my bones

Is reproach enemy reproach’d me

When they say everyday that

Thine God that you are calling

Can he even save thee?

4. I even said ‘to my God

Why hast thou forgotten me?

Why do I go on mourning

For the o‘pression of enemy?

Hasten quickly and save me

5. I have even have the hope

In my Rock of Salvation

I even calleth his name

He answered me in a great gathering

And my God hath saved me

6. My sorrow turneth to joy

My cry turneth to laughter

When God hath heareth my voice

And he answered my prayers

My sorrow turneth to joy
