A Hymn: Christ Has Redeemed Us From the Curse of the Law
Singing and composing hymns and other songs have been part of my life since my teenage days
Composer’s Foreword
I do not know how to put my composed words into tunic solfa format, but having learnt however remotely how to compose songs using local Yoruba format, I decide to come with a work around on how to make my songs internationally acceptable, therefore, I have been mimicking some hymns which I believe anyone who knows how to sing such hymn globally would be able to sing along with me my composed song using the tune that I have used beneath.
Having said this, I sincerely invite you to join me in singing this newly composed song.
Thanks.
The Composed Song
1. Christ ‘lso hath redeemed us
From the curse of the law
By becoming a curse for us
As it is written that
Cursed is even everyone
Who hangeth on the tree
He was hangeth for our sakes
Paying the ultimate price
2. Christ ‘lso hath redeemed us
From the everlasting death
Which hath been passed on humans
By our fore-parents sins
For we ‘ve been conceived in sin
And were shaped in sins
But when fulness of time was come
God sent his only Son
3. Christ ‘lso hath redeemed us
Even from the sting of death
And the sting of death even is
Sin, tr’ngression an’ iniquity
And the strength of the sin is law
Which placed all under curse
But thanks be unto our God
For victory in Jesus Christ
4. Christ ‘lso hath redeemed us
From the first covenant
Because he hath even find
Faults in first covenant
Therefore he hath made with all
A better covenant
Through his blood shed on the cross
For redemption of all
5. Christ ‘lso hath redeemed us
From the power of sin
He by that has made with us
New and better covenant
Inscribing his law on our hearts
And put them on our minds
Giving us hearts of flesh
6. To Christ who hath redeemed me
Yea from the curse of law
I giveth even my heart
My spirit, my soul and mind
Yea I dedicate my flesh
Even for thy service
Make use of me oh dear Lord
Even for thy service.
