1. Seek Him with your whole heart

With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. Psalms 119:10.

The first thing to do is to seek Him and His will for you in this season. When you have attended church services your entire life, and been taught this is what He wants, this is what you believe. Read the entirety of the book of Acts. Each reference to the church was related to a group of people in a specific area. These first believers in Christ met in homes and spread the gospel wherever they went. Organized churches came about when Constantine declared Christianity the official religion of Rome, but religion is not a relationship. Talk to Him whenever and wherever you can, when you wake up, as you go about your day and prior to bedtime. If you are not able to set aside a specific time of day, do the best you can and watch Him honor your efforts.

The Holy Spirit may wake you up in the wee hours of the morning or keep you up later at night. Read your Bible, listen to worship music, pray alone or with a spouse or another family member. He has promised to be in the midst of only two or three. You can even create an atmosphere where just you and the Lord are the majority. Play your favorite worship songs as you drive and sing along. Pray in the spirit throughout the day and watch His presence increase on you. When your desire is to seek Him with your whole heart, He will help you do it.

2. Understand His word

“I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation. Psalm 119:99.

A relationship with Christ is not a competition, but this scripture reveals something that is a fact. You can in your personal walk spend as much time with Him, pray and read the words as much as you personally desire. You are not obligated to only read your weekly Sunday school lesson, or only meditation the scriptures you were given by your pastor. You can have as much or as little of Him as you desire. Should you obtain revelation knowledge that surpasses those who are in leadership over you, remain humble. They too have the right to obtain as much or as little of Him as they desire. A relationship with Him is not like school classes where you must abide by what the teacher has set forth. Naturally, you don't disrespect spiritual leadership but you go where He desires you to be and let everyone else do the same. Allow the Holy Spirit to lead you. I John 2:27 says: But Christ has blessed you with the Holy Spirit. Now the Spirit stays in you, and you don't need any teachers. The Spirit is truthful and teaches you everything. So stay one in your heart with Christ, just as the Spirit has taught you to do

3. Hunger and thirst for Him

“I opened my mouth, and panted: for I longed for thy commandments.” Psalm 119:131.

Psalm 42:1 As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.

2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?

When you have a desire to know more about Him, then He will open doors for you. It's possible you might get an answer during a conversation with an individual or watching a movie or cartoon. When you are desperate for Him. doors open right at home. Michael W Smith's song Breathe talks of being desperate for Him and lost without Him. The lyrics say that His very presence and His Holy Spirit is the air we breathe and our daily bread is His word spoken to us. This is not limited to a preacher in a church pulpit. As you hunger and thirst for Him you might be surfprised when and where He speaks directly to you.

4.Praise Him all through the day and night

Psalm 119:47 I prevent the dawning of the morning and cried: I hope in they word.

148 Mine eyes prevent the night watches, that I might meditate in thy word.

Psalms 119:164 Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments.”

Any time of the day or night you can call on Him and He will be there. If you do not have any specific worship music to get you into His presence, the songs listed in this hub are favorites of mine. He's Worthy of all praise, worship, honor, and glory. You might also consider praying with or discussing His word with trusted friends on the telephone or Facetime. Where there is a will He will make the way.

5. Make your own way

Every one of us is different in how we seek Him. I used to go to prayer at 5:00 AM along with about 10 or 12 other Intercessors, but others were not interested in getting up that early and that is OK. I enjoy taking communion at home alone, with my husband or grandchildren, but not everyone is comfortable with that. Please understand that this hub is not to discourage church attendance. This information is to help those who right now are not aware that it's alright if for whatever reason you cannot congregate in the building. I was told this morning that some preachers are telling believers that God is mad because they are not going to church because of the coronavirus, but this is not true. He is a Spirit who lives within every believer and is with you everywhere you go. Begin today to make your own personal relationship with Him.

That is so true.

In the Christian race personal development is crucial, just as personal conviction is essential for a person who shall give his or her life to Jesus Christ. Well said. Good work.
