Born again Christian, learning to live the life God wants for me. Sharing my life experiences and lessons.
Darkness was my home
I never knew anything different
I didn’t even know it was dark
Until I saw the light
I wanted to run toward it
But I was nervous
I was afraid
It was unfamiliar
But so inviting
The light was strong
It shone into to my darkness
I was alive... for once
Like a magnet, I was pulled
But some part of me resisted
And so I stood there... stuck
The familiar and the unfamiliar
The old and the new
What I was and what I could be
And though I was caught in the middle
It was always my choice to move

Romans 14:8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.

I definitely agree. Thanks, Mark.

Anything unfamiliar feels scary, I guess. Often times, its good to follow your intuition instead of your head. Thoughtful poem.
