Hello again. With this prompt response, I can finally say that I'm officially caught up with all of Brenda's prompts. Yay! This calls for a celebration. Everyone, please raise your coffee cup for a virtual cheers.

Like the previous response, albeit out of numerical order, this piece comes from my vault of inspiration. As always, thank you Brenda! Enjoy!

Told you I'd change

even convinced myself;

but I had to level the playing field.

I'll lift myself up on the platform,

Thank you very much.

Stare down at you

in a blaze of self-righteousness.

Didn't you know

I'm always the Saint?

I can do no wrong.

This is my story

I'll craft it how I see fit.

You can try your best

to pull me down

throw stones

tomatoes, if you wish

Shout your insults;

I'll turn your lies

into stepping stones.

There's only one way up

and no room for two.
