Hello again. With this prompt response, I can finally say that I'm officially caught up with all of Brenda's prompts. Yay! This calls for a celebration. Everyone, please raise your coffee cup for a virtual cheers.

Told you I'd change

even convinced myself;

but I had to level the playing field.

I'll lift myself up on the platform,

Thank you very much.

Stare down at you

in a blaze of self-righteousness.

Didn't you know

I'm always the Saint?

I can do no wrong.

This is my story

I'll craft it how I see fit.

You can try your best

to pull me down

throw stones

tomatoes, if you wish

Shout your insults;

I'll turn your lies

into stepping stones.

There's only one way up

and no room for two.
