Well hello again! I'm still working away on Brenda's creative prompts and I have a response for week 44. This one made me laugh because everyone who knows me will tell you that I'm not a very patient person. It's okay, I've embraced it. haha! I decided to write a little something about this experience.

I love the quote or ecard, whatever it is, that says:

Why is patience a virtue?

Why can't hurry the hell up be a virtue?

trudging along

much to do

but my mind is scattered

and I'm a short fuse

pause, take a deep breath

still, this attitude

lit by embers floating in the air

flow onto the mat

movement is medicine

today, a bitter taste

I simply can't swallow

it's alright,

lose myself in the rhythm

and drown in someone else's words

higher and louder

but the sound no longer embraces

choosing to pierce and stab instead.

Where does it come from,

this magical elixir;

patience?

It's not on a shelf

no one can deliver it

where can I find it?

I've searched far and wide

only to arrive back at the start

empty-handed

worse for wear

an exact opposite

of expectation

what's left?

I don't know

Maybe a nap.
