Ugly

Living in a world of abundance,
having high stakes and low ethics,
is ugly.

Human essence,
is in preserving innocence,
otherwise its ugly.

Surge of urge, for pleasure,
with no remorse, whatsoever,
is ugly.

Quick justice, well-deserved,
when undelivered,
is ugly.

Nellieanna you are right but when ever such ugliness appears, we have to contemplate what's going on and why. Even an anamoly is hard to the sensible. Hope the troubled ones get some peace. Thanks for your appreciation. :-)

The world is really turning into insensitive bro, that's why our writings clamour for peace and sanity. Your beautiful expression is an good example of it.

Nellieanna Hay on June 13, 2018:

These things are truly ugly. But no whole society is ugly because some members are.

Your drawing matches the words, perfectly, Hari, and reflect Man's greatest sin: Indifference.

Hari Prasad S (author) from Bangalore on April 28, 2018:

Thanks CrisSP. Yes, things are getting worse.

Creating awareness can manage this menace and as writers we can at least write to spread the message to public.

CrisSp from Sky Is The Limit Adventure on April 27, 2018:

Yes, very ugly and sad to see that it's becoming the reality of the world we now live in. My role, now is to try to twist this in my own little way. So, I try to look at things differently and try to see and seek the goodness in life instead. It's hard but I try hard (and harder).

Peace~

Thanks Threekeys, Truth / Karma always prevails no matter how many time a lie is told, ultimately, it will always fetch the wrong results. Those who walk that path, will eventually know it, if not now, later.

I was listening to a talk being given by an Australian authou yesterday, He was making a social commentary about our country and amongst all of his ideas he also said these words which lingered in my mind afterwards. "Lies are quick to be and the truth is slow to show. But with the truth, no matter what is made to sound " believable" (="propaganda"), is instinctively heard and registers within us.
