An incomplete list of things that feel like me.
A window slid open to let the sounds of the ocean into my bed / the feel of wax under nails / bruises on my hips and bottom rib / a random pointe shoe hanging on the wall / phone numbers i’ll never use again still saved in my phone / a weird sort of anxiety when you realize you’re hours from the closest ocean / chasing the ocean / broken pinky promises / the quiet at 11 at night that i can never feel in my own head /
