“The way I see it, hard times aren't only about money,
or drought,
or dust.
Hard times are about losing spirit,
and hope,
and what happens when dreams dry up.”
— ― Karen Hesse, Out of the Dust
The Dark Labyrinth
Cold winding path so pointless
Empty, vague and meaningless
A life's maze so endless
A brilliant mind is useless
You never Know where or when
You'll be dealing with it again
It just comes in a fright
Like a thief in the night
Whenever it did
You cannot comprehend
You lose the ability
To think Logically
Emotions rule your head
Create a world you lead
It's the only way to survive
And let your sanity revive
It is dreadful indeed
To meet a Minotaur on a bend
But there's one thing I learned
On the hard way I earned
You either cut it first
Or it will rip you burst
So I therefore understand
Those who lose there mind
I was once before like them
Taking my life in great attempt
But they chose the easy way
Now they lost there way
