Experiencing Sleep

By a mere closure of eyelid,
i skid.

into a deep trance,
where silence took over noise.

where the milder sounds seek,
and my awareness to these, at its peak.

the ticking clock, the frogs croak,
the cool breeze, the hoppers squeak.

Then a free fall i had,
into a never ending pipe.

i weighed just about a leaflet,
all this, seemed quick.

a beautiful cozy bed to retreat,
was the end, to my treat.

Audrey, Yes, a good sleep make ones feel rejuvinated.

Sad to know, you have sleep apnea. These days sleeplessness is becoming self inflicted also.

Thanks for a visit and liking the poem. wish you a great sleep :-)

I suffer from sleep apnea, so when I'm lucky enough to get a full nights sleep I'm overjoyed. Nice poem.

Hey Hari. Another amazing poem. :) I like how the poem flows with ease and not in a rigid way.

      Eric,

You are right about not teaching these life skills, i wish they could include growing food too. Rhyme and rhythm does help in cognitive growth and appreciating the human nature.

Thank you eric. I will look into these hubbers too.few i do.

Thank you Hari. I never thought of that -- actually storing a list.

Jodah, Ann Carr, Bill (Billy Buc) Bill (lifegate) Manatita, Chris Mills and I left out some but we also have fun with Ms. Carb Diva and for sure Dora.

But Poetry, they do not teach it in grade school. Songs/Psalms are cool also but again they do not teach it. And they do not teach cooking or ethnic type of dialects and so much more is left out.

But all those are the Juice in life. My teacher calls it Sukha.
