Black Puffs of Death, Prose Poem
Black puffs of smoke dance around me, like dark devils of dull grey.
As I breath in foul fumes, I feel the clean light of life slowly leave my lungs.
My dull brown lips fall apart.
Forceful, the malicious vapor invades.
It sinks violently in my chest.
Sturdy, it strangles me at my throat.
My discomfort and fear liquefy within my dark brown eyes.
Between us, the charcoal colored veil of fog stands
but his familiar shadow is clear.
He stands willingly still, ready to watch me die.
