You Don’t Have to Suffer Alone
Poetry is turning out to be a very cathartic medium, I should do this more often.
Do you ever stop and take the time,
To peruse the forsaken holes you've dug,
Those chasms that hold your scars and trauma,
I want to know, do you ever?
Do you ever toss and turn,
As you lie awake alone at night,
The light of the moon illuminating a lover's absence,
I desire to know, do you ever?
Do you ever choose to sink and drown,
Beneath the waves of your own lonesome envy,
Mourning the ghosts of friends long lost,
I must know, do you ever?
Do you ever blame yourself,
For all of your failures unforeseeable,
The individuals who spat on you when you were down,
I yearn to know, do you ever?
Do you ever realize that you aren't alone,
Your suffering is not endured without company,
All you must do is reach out for help,
I demand to know, do you ever want to be saved?
