Worldly wise

Worldly-wise

I am part of this world ,
Odd, i don't endorse its ways weird.

I do walk through this bazaar's wide lane,
Yet I don't need all that's for sale.

I am no torch bearer,
Just a shadow of colourful contour.

I am the fallen flower,
That hasn't got entangled to silky hairs.

I am no smart soul,
I do falter, fail and fall.

Wise words beautifully expressed. We falter we fall. We may break but we have to pick up the pieces and go on.

Beautiful and thoughtful poem!

We all fail so many times in the journey of life. But keep trying to be successful. Because this is part of life.

Thanks for sharing this.

I find it sad and at the same time peaceful. I have a poem called "A Fallen Leaf." So, I can identify with the stanza of "fallen flower." Funny how poets think alike.

Ruby Jean Richert from Southern Illinois on April 24, 2019:

We all fail sometimes, but we get up and try again. Loved your poem....

Hari Prasad S (author) from Bangalore on April 24, 2019:

Thanks devika. True, we must be connected to the outside world keeping a balance within.

Devika Primić from Dubrovnik, Croatia on April 24, 2019:

One needs to feel connected with the outside world.

Hari Prasad S (author) from Bangalore on April 24, 2019:

Thanks Paul for the visit. It is a bit abstract and mixed up. I agree. Each stanza says different things about being disconnected yet the urge to be connected in the world.

The free verse poem is well written. I'm not sure what the emotions it's supposed to stir up. But I am reading your poem in a voice that is confident/empowered.
