Over a decade has passed
The lovely feelings keep rising
When you think it isn't possible
It really is
The glow of a night light
The warmth of a blazing sun
The chill of an ice cube down your back
A wonderful passion followed by a quiet comfort
Enjoying the softness
Relaxed and mellow
A gentle peace
Looking for the right words to describe
Every feeling that makes us complete
Left so satisfied and sleepy

Robert Sacchi When I have a good time or think of times in my life I have enjoyed the most I often try to repeat them. There are times that I exceed my expectations and many times life is just different not better but not worse. Not to be forgotten are the times that fall far short of my plans and need to improved on or totally scrapped and then I start over. Thank you so much. Have a splendid day.
Robert Sacchi on April 13, 2018:
That's true. Much writing comes from life experience.
DREAM ON (author) on April 13, 2018:
Robert Sacchi Inspiration comes from people we are close too. I like to think of it as a revolving door. The more we put in the more that comes out. Not all at the same time. Thank you for reading and sharing. Make today a fun day.

Robert Sacchi Many times I push myself nonstop. Some thing has to give. I accomplish a great deal and I know I tried my hardest. Then I wonder what if I got up one hour earlier that means less sleep but more progress. Then I see other people so bored and filled with I don't care attitude towards life. I don't understand why they can't see the beauty in every day. I guess that why we are all created different. So we can learn from other people the good and the bad. Thank you for your continued spirit and energy. I appreciate people who accomplish a lot. They put the time and energy in everything they do. You are remarkable. I read your bio and you have done many good things. Each which takes a great deal of time and focus. Keep up the great work. Have a splendid day.

Robert Sacchi I found trying to slow it down doesn't work either. Then I feel like I am missing out, So full steam ahead and be careful until we get out of shallow water. I love to have fun. With words and thoughts. I let my imagination go wild. I never owned a boat and never will except here on HubPages. Thank you again for being a nice person. I am hope your day is filled unlimited excitement and knowledge.

DREAM ON (author) on April 09, 2018:
Robert Sacchi I can't take credit for it. I use to hear it a lot growing up. I l like too. It is funny how certain things catch on and other things don't. Thank you for all your on going support. It took me longer than usual to respond just busy with work. Have a wonderful morning.

Robert Sacchi I guess wherever we go there will always be people that will cause trouble. I call them Debbie Downers. I like to keep in touch with people who lift us up and I try to do the same. Thank you for all your comments and thoughts.
Robert Sacchi on April 05, 2018:
HubPages has many people that are helpful and supportive. In other places there are people who seem to want to make jokes at other writers' expense or try to show off their superiority.
DREAM ON (author) on April 04, 2018:
Robert Sacchi My job has served me well. I am at a point where I continue on with other interests. I get a different feeling from writing. It is an deeper inner feeling of ongoing satisfaction. I don't have to think. it just is. I don't have to drive to work or show up on a certain time. I just have to give it my all and that I have done for years in other areas of my life. I have less to think about why other people don't want to do the same. I meet people like yourself that have heart and passion. That continue to help other people they just met. How amazing is that. Thank you.
Robert Sacchi on April 04, 2018:
It is great you found a job you love.
DREAM ON (author) on April 04, 2018:
Robert Sacchi There are many good things to say about the job I do. I have worked with some of the most amazing people from so many different backgrounds. We have our hard days but some how they end up disappearing and what we have left is a good job done. I am proud of the work I do. I have made many people happy. I have not found a person who doesn't like to eat. When our body is satisfied we have the energy to accomplish many things. Thank you so much for leaving such encouraging comments. I hope you get a lot accomplished and have time to share your pleasant afternoon.

I understand, I have relatives in the restaurant business.
DREAM ON (author) on April 03, 2018:
Robert Sacchi Because I work in the restaurant business when most people are relaxing and having fun. It is our busy times and we have to work. Usually holidays, weekends and nights. It was a trade off. In the long run I wonder if it was a smart choice or if I should of decided a different career. I was thankful it kept me out of trouble because I couldn't go out and party at night. I was always working. Sometimes the best times are baking and spending time at home. Thank you so much. May each day be a breath of fresh air.
Robert Sacchi on April 02, 2018:
No, nothing special. We did the Easter Egg routine. I did some baking the night before Easter as I was watching The Ten Commandments. It's good you got an Easter off.
DREAM ON (author) on April 01, 2018:
Robert Sacchi I have spent most of my Easters working. Spending a few hours with the family then rushing off to work. This is only the second time I had Easter off since I was a kid. It was so nice to relax and not have to hurry to eat. I wanted the day never to end. Family and friends sitting around the table and just talking and enjoying each others company. Did you do anything special? Thank you for asking and sharing.
Robert Sacchi on April 01, 2018:
Hope you are having a wonderful Easter.
DREAM ON (author) on April 01, 2018:
Robert Sacchi Thank you for sharing and creating new thoughts and fun. Finding the time to spend with our family and friends sure makes life feel so good. Have a wonderful Easter.

Robert Sachi The closeness of our bodies bring a warmth and comfort unmatched. Listening to each other talk. Sharing words that further explore our day and our world. Thank you sharing my hub. This is one of the many ways I tap into my feelings and thoughts. Have a lovely weekend.

Lovely poem about love growing stronger over many years.

Gypsy Rose Lee I agree there are so many ways to enjoy those incredible feelings. I love walking especially on a windy or rainy day. Mother Nature right against my skin.I had trouble trying to comment since my hub went to letter pile a new section of hibpages. I had to sign in all over again. Thank you for all your support and friendship.

And I might add the smell of fresh mowed grass, lying back and watching the clouds drift by and feeling the soft, gentle summer breeze. The ice cube down the back made me smile.

Shanmarie Love is so powerful but at the same time so volatile like dynamite. It can do amazing things but if not careful the greatest love can turn. Boom!!!! Little things make the difference. As long as you respect each other and nurture the love to make it grow. People fall out of love for many different reasons. Some I will never understand. Thank you for reading and sharing. May your love always grow and grow to bring you all the happiness you desire.

Nellieanna Once again you sparked my passion.I have suffered mental losses of pictures and items from my childhood got ruined by accident. I thought they were safe they got damp and musty. My cellar is not a dry cellar and paper doesn't hold up well even in Rubbermaid containers they weren't sealed tight enough. Nice to look back but better to go forward. I was careless and busy doing other things. Have a great day and special times are just ahead. Thank you for reading and commenting brightening my day.

You practice sensible health habits, especially the good attitudes, so you're probably good for a long time. I admire the way you handle life's ups and downs, with an overall view of its beauty aud its good! It's in each real moment that we have life, so how we use each moment is the main thing and that becomes what our lives ARE - not how long they last, nor is it in how 'same' they all are. Some are easier, some are more challenging. Thank goodness for that! You may have had tousled hair and some changes in what your body will do, but there you went, - out the door to tend to the yard - and at the same time, tending to YOU and your own well-being. The positive response is the saving grace! Haven’t you seen people who were really invalids, but just radiated the life in themselves? By contrast, one sees people who almost revel in their gloom and misfortune. It’s a choice, at every age and stage!
I'm 84 (and then some), you know, and hoping to go for 100 or more, still being healthy, which is largely from my own choices. I make sure the real life in the present is as healthy and rich as it can be, with the exciting living it contains. Sure, I'm not as agile as I have been in the past, but I can and do live NOW, dwelling neither in the past nor the future, which do no exist. So I treasure the present, and what I can make of it, even during any of its less-great experiences. I need those to keep my perspective in balance and to appreciate the great ones.
The value of being able to feel, sense and experience ALL of it IS life. A static, never changing, never being both sides of the coin would be boring and numbing. Soon one would lose interest in it. We need the contrasts so we can appreciate and really feel both. Here's a poem I wrote about it:
Desensitize me not.
I want to feel it all.
Anguished pain -
For LIFE is ALL of this.
The tides and ebbs of being.
The days, the nights,
The spring, the fall,
Shades and lights of seeing.
I'm cheated not
By living life,
Prevent it not,
It's giving life
And I am here to live it.

Nellieanna I wake up and look in the mirror and my hair goes every which way. Then I walk and my trick knee pulls a fast one I slowly catch my balance not to fall. I haven't even had breakfast and my day has already has given me little surprises. I know my body is slowly aging because I have more trouble doing what I use to do. So I look at the world in a soft light that is easy on the eyes. Pulling out the beauty and letting the rest disappear like sand on a windy day. Oh well . Where things go who really knows. What I can say is thank you for this moment and right now I feel so so good. Thank you for reading and sharing a wonderful peace of heaven on earth. Out in the yard to plant and tinker.

I am so glad for you and your wife that your relationship is full of love and joy, Michael! There is surely no treasure more wonderful and valuable than that!
Since I can fully relate to it with my relationship and marriage to George, I know exactly what you mean. Even during the 5 years before we married, it began like that, - just so natural, mutual, considerate and real. It lasted every day till his death nearly 8 years ago, a period 31 years, + 8 = 39 years, nearly half of my life, despite other less wonderful relationships we both experienced before it. It is still a very present love and constant comfort, which enriches my days here on this planet..
Yours should last and bring joy for as long! It doesn't have to be 'perfect' but it IS real and you know how to cherish and protect it. You have found the loadstone which attracts and holds the prize! Hugs and SHELLS.

Nellieanna We both want to make each other laugh, smile and have fun seeing and doing it all different ways. Love is the beautiful result. We look forward to our time together and we also have our alone time where we can grow as an individual that only builds a better couple. My time is writing hers is watching cooking shows etc. We both have had past relationships that we were treated badly. We had made a promise to ourselves to never make anyone feel that uncomfortable and unhappy again. Constantly we come across fresh interesting challenges that spark new life. It's like we are on our first date and our learning about each other and have butterflies in our stomach. Then when we have our differences we have to work together to come up with a solution. My creativity and spontaneous impulses and my wife's practical and we have to get this done attitude is a good combo. Thank you for sharing and caring.
