With a Daring Will: A Poem
With a forceful and persistent bliss
I've conquered pain and physical ills
and if it's something that you may miss
you will never know this kind of life thrills.
It's a liberated unutterable joy
ignited by nothing but sheer will
something like a favorite mental toy
that makes mind happy, strong, and still.
So much is wasted by thinking smart
about problems that won't go away
instead of mobilizing our heart
for heart has the final say.
We either enjoy every second of life
or we are just busy sounding clever
struggling and choking in our strife
not finding our peace of mind ever.
So sometimes I pretend to really care
about world's stupidities and all the rest
while all it merely takes is to spitefully dare
to be different and utilize our heart's very best.
