Val enjoys writing his own style of what resembles poetry, just hoping to catch someone's heart on the same page.
It doesn't matter how the paint is put on, as long as something is said.
-- Jackson Pollock
There are times I feel on top of this game
as if dealt some good cards out of the deck
writing comes easy with no expertise to claim
as I sense the warm Muse's breath on my neck.
Then there are times when I'd like to share
but all those good words won't come to mind
my Muse taking the day off or just doesn't care
so I've got to look for my fun of some other kind.
There's something to do more often than not
and both my reader and I could use a break
anyway writing is not something really hot
and pausing is good for moderation sake.
So I deceive myself while out of an inspiration
as some lying comes helpful at such times
when mind is too lazy for some creation
way too dry to think of any rhymes.
While missing the Muse, my creative leader
something else may intrude into my mind
it's missing that touch with my reader
as if they are always left behind.
'Cause this writing may feel so one-sided
nothing like exchange of a friendly chat
so in this pause by my Muse provided
I'm thinking of readers and all that.
