With Mind Just Monkeying Around: A Rhyme With Message
Val enjoys writing his own style of what resembles poetry, just hoping to catch someone's heart on the same page.

The problem is to keep the monkey mind from running off into all kinds of thoughts.

In the mighty realm of our mind
every thought counts as cause
if thoughts were easy to rewind
we'd see why life is full of flaws.
With our mind monkeying around
wishing and doubting at same time
nothing takes a root in fertile ground
so far from anything looking sublime.
In the likes of some pinball machine
mind is not programmed for an order
thoughts randomly bouncing off each pin
enclosed within narrow frame as a border.
Reluctant between love and fear
far below the threshold of our sight
feeling most secure in its parking gear
not slightly aware of its tremendous might.
For, every thought is like prayer
sent for help in our life games
but mind is such a lousy player
just monkeying around its aims.
