With Love, All Is of Wonder and Miracles. Wednesday's Inspiration, 18 to Vanita Thakkar

Manatita is an esteemed author living in London, UK. He writes spiritual books, flash fiction and esoteric poetry, his favourite genre.

The Satguru (God-man) Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa. One of the Greatest Seers of the 20th Century

With Love, all is a Wonder and a Miracle

The sweet scent of zephyrs, caught the

Earth laughing, as her jasmines and lavenders,

Unfurled their purple blossoms. The rose blushed,

Recounting her numerous tales of intimate secrets.

Within the orchard where we first encountered,

Sunset came smiling with the dusk. Alone with my Lover,

We listened to the willows whisper, to the fading sun. Now the

Nights speak of hopefulness, as stars dance with Andromeda.

A symphony of starlings, heralds the radiance of a

Golden dawn. I try to communicate, with the Light of Jannah,

Even as laziness runs from the duvets’ charm, enthusiasm

Becomes present in action; while zeal and vibrancy emerge from closets.

As a child, I spoke to the moon on starry nights. I

Enquired of the cute dog within her lustre; then of the old

Man's glint on her face, yet burdened by a bundle of wood.

She spoke of the heavy load she carried; the

Obedience necessary for the sake of the Beloved’s

Mystery. It was then that I understood the why’s of

Her having a dog, and the plight of the Elder’s burden.

With Love, all is of wonder and miracles. Didn’t I tell you?

- Manatita, The Lantern Carrier. 31st March, 2021.

Lovers are God’s Blood-vessels

Lovers are God’s blood-vessels.

From one cycle to another, they bleed

Again, and again; none but Love, can quench

The millennia of burning agony of their Hearts.

They hear sounds and see strange lights;

Walk on space in the darkness. They’re fed wine

Of a taste that inebriates them so quickly, that

They go into stupor, or laugh with the stars of heaven.

Lovers bleed once again when, hands outstretched,

They offer the sugarcane juice of Jannah (Paradise).

They’re chased out of cities and die on crosses too

Numerous to mention, speaking of a Light, most cannot see.

O man! Love is whispering at every moment, in the timeless

Energy of cosmic Light, asking its children for a tourniquet, called ‘Longing.’

-Manatita, The Lantern Carrier. 29th March, 2021.

Sri Sarada Devi. Sri Ramakrishna's Consort. She is Reputed to Have Been Holiness Itself!

Wisdom from the Master

"That which is necessary to reject, we reject,

That which is necessary to transform, we transform;

That which is necessary to transcend, we transcend.

In order to transcend, two things are necessary:

Personal effort and God's Grace." - Sri Chinmoy

Quote from Jalal Uddin Mohammed Rumi. The 13th Century Saint

Wisdom from the Master

"My Love of God, has no need for Heaven's Bliss.

For my Love of God Itself, is the Highest Bliss." - Sri Chinmoy

That Love again!!

You noticed. If you do not read Ramakrishna or Vivekananda, I recommend them. There was also a 'silent' one called Brahmananda. His book, The Eternal Companion' is immortal!

Vivekananda was the fire and Ramakrishna so filled with the Love of His Mother Kali, that he was always drunk in Bliss. You can get Sayings of Sri Ramakrishna as a guide. He spoke a lot in parables, like Christ. Gratitude.

Beautiful and heartfelt tribute to Vanita.

With love as the theme, everything is wonderful, and everything is possible, as you have beautifully expressed.

Vanita is a multi talented person, and she has vast experience in various fields. I am always impressed and amazed by her versatility.

So thoughtful of you to make references to the most revered Spiritual Gurus in your well crafted poems.

Thank you for sharing this. Have a blessed day.

Well, my Dharmabagini Vanita, so much here!

You have performed a poet's dream! That is to say, you have not only looked at but commented on everything! You have surpassed my Sister Misbah. Ha-ha. Venkatachari M Ji is like that too and a few more.

I cannot add anything more about Sri Ramakrishna and the Holy Mother. It is your field but we have been friends since 1982 when Swami Vivekananda influenced my decisions. I have two libraries at Home. A Sri Ramakrishna's and a Sri Chinmoy's. Guru Ji was very fond of them and told us a lot of 'cock and bull' stories of their inner conversations.

Did you know I went to the Parliament of World Religions in Chicago? yes, in 1893! (Joke) I went in 1993 and Guru ji opened the Parliament with Silence. He didn't speak. He gave a Concert for Vivekananda in Chicago and I was blessed to work on it as well. I went to Barcelona as well and another is coming up soon.

I love Gibran! He was more like Ibn Arabi. Not quite Aurobindo, except for the command and elocution of the English Language, as Aurobindo was very Bhakti as my Guruji and family.

I'm more like the Persian mystics and my Guru ji, but like Gibran, I use a language which is all my own, a unique style. You have honoured me, my Dear Didi Ji. Thank you so much!!- Manatita

Appreciated, my Dear Alicia.

Love hearing from you. Hope your weather is good and stay blessed.

Vanita Thakkar on April 01, 2021:

Brother Manatita,

I feel immensely blessed as I read your poems. Both are masterpieces, as always, from you. Best is the title - "With Love, All Is of Wonders and Miracles" .... It says everything .... Love is an open secret - so much known and still ever so eluding !!

As I always say, there is a beautiful stream of words and energy in your poems. You gave me a delightful surprise. I felt that I don't have the right words to thank you enough. Then I saw Misbah's article. I think she has done a great job. Perhaps her article came by to help me express my gratitude.

You have done such a wonderful work !! Thakur's picture is a great treat here. It was taken when Thakur was in a deep meditative state - lost and light, as if One with the Ether around ....

Maa Sarada's picture, as lovely as ever, is the one found at most places. Most of her sculptures are based on this picture. Sister Nivedita had persuaded Maa with great difficulty to have her pictures taken .... The video of Maa's quotes is fantastic. I have read and seen them so many times and still they are as energizing and elevating as ever.

The quotes by your Guruji and Rumi add much elegance, relevance and energy to your expressions.

As I read your poem, you reminded me a great deal of Khalil Gibran - you sounded much like him in these poems.

Best regards to you. Thanks again. Jay Thakur-Maa.

Mi Habibi,

You drink like the Seers themselves. You show a great willingness and a yearning for Truth, without which nothing can be done. Aspiration (The Heart's inner cry of longing), is the beginning and the end of the journey. Vanita will be very pleased with you. Jazak Allahu Khair

Misbah Sheikh from The World of Poets on March 31, 2021:

Manatita, it is a beautiful dedication to Vanita

Poetry is as always Mind blowing.

The most beautiful lines,

"They hear sounds and see strange lights;

Walk on space in the darkness. They’re fed wine

Of a taste that inebriates them so quickly, that

They go into stupor, or laugh with the stars of heaven."

Yes Maulana Rumi was right ," Love is all that exist "

Thanks for sharing this beautiful piece of writing

Blessings to you and Vanita
