With A Thankful Heart

Waking up this morning,

With a thankful heart,

So thankful for the sunshine,

That gives this day a start.

Thankful for the birds,

Singing in the trees.

Thankful for dripping,

Water from the eves.

Thankful for great friends,

And a loving family.

Thankful for our pets,

To help keep our sanity.

So very thankful,

For a blessed day.

As hope, faith, and love,

Provide special ways.

Thankful for small things.

Others might forget,

Counting all blessings,

Every little bit.

Thankful all seems well,

Within our given space.

For one never knows,

When tragedy takes place.
