Wisdom Dances in the Tabernacle of the Soul. Monday's Inspiration 52

Author:

Manatita is an esteemed author living in London, UK. He writes spiritual books, flash fiction and esoteric poetry, his favourite genre.

Wisdom from Sri Chinmoy

"There is only one God, and that God is God the Love. This God does not punish us. This God is constantly shaping us in His own way. It is He who is the Doer, it is He who is the Action, and it is He who is the Enjoyer, both in the action and in the result."

The scholar dyes the scriptures, woven

In the colours of self-importance.

As such he knows the sweetness of Awakening,

Only through learning and intellect –

Naught but an authority on words.

"O would-be-swimmer", said the Seer.

“How can I best serve you, when

The mind is afraid of the ocean?

One knows the path of the eagle, as its wings

Flap, while soaring the indigo vastness.

Not having tasted the wisdom, of the

Fountain within, shall I call you a swimmer?

Why should I listen to a video,

In a language that I cannot interpret?

Aye, my friend, one day we’ll grow old and die.

Even as the fire needs the fuel,

So does the yearning of a hungry Heart,

For the inner experience of Light. Arise!

Strip bare the curtains,

From the temple of the sun.

Call! She’ll respond from within,

Like the mother does for her children.

I am a servant of the intensity of yearning;

Nothing belongs to me; all my shadows and

My ignorance, are but a token of Her mercy.

If I have not tasted mangoes,

Can I truly know the state called ‘sweet’?

Love has merged everything,

In the intimacy of Its own weaving;

Wisdom dances, in the tabernacle of the soul."

Wisdom of Hafiz

"I caught the happy virus last night,

when I was out singing beneath the stars.

It is remarkably contagious,

So kiss me." -Hafiz

Wisdom from the Master

"A child feels his mother has all the power in the world. When he is afraid of anything, he runs to his mother because he knows that his mother has utmost affection for him. You are a spiritual child of God, so when you are attacked by any kind of fear, immediately try to run toward the sweet Supreme, who is all Compassion, all Love, all Blessings." -Sri Chinmoy

manatita44 (author) from london on December 30, 2018:

Yes, my Sweet.

Books are tremendous inspirations but you are a mystical being and you need to go inward, like the mystic, to find your true Source. God speed!!

Mary Norton from Ontario, Canada on December 30, 2018:

Your poem confirms the desire in me to find time and just listen to what is inside me and not to the countless voices of others. I have to stay longer in the silence of my own being.

manatita44 (author) from london on December 28, 2018:

Yes indeed, my brother.

You are very wise. Thank you so much. Happy New Year!

Rajan Singh Jolly from From Mumbai, presently in Jalandhar, INDIA. on December 28, 2018:

The Master so wisely says that just as a child seeks the protection of its mother we must seek the shelter of the Lord who has only Love and Affection for us.

manatita44 (author) from london on December 27, 2018:

Haha. I looked again Dee. Cool, eh?

I will take a break as I have some things to do. Lots!

Happy New Year, my Dear.

Dora Weithers from The Caribbean on December 27, 2018:

Especially love the lines in the verse beginning "Even as the fire needs the fuel," Purpose and truth! Looking forward to gathering more inspiration from you in the New Year (God willing).

manatita44 (author) from london on December 26, 2018:

Thanks Bro. That is Hafiz's language. I prefer Rumi's 'drunkenness' without wine, or perhaps the celestial vintage wine of Heaven. Best wishes for an abundant 2019.

Ioannis Arvanitis from Greece, Almyros on December 26, 2018:

I am so happy to see you "infecting" many people with the "virus of Love", my dear Brother! Keep spreading...

Gratitude!

Well my Sweet, we are both candles of the Creator God. You are as unique and special as I am. I like to think that I am a servant of the servant of Jah. Peace, Love, Light

Doris James MizBejabbers from Beautiful South on December 25, 2018:

Love to you, Manatita. Merry Christmas!

manatita44 (author) from london on December 25, 2018:

Thank you my Sweet.

We are both instruments of His. I am a servant of the servant of Jah. Higher blessings.

Linda Lum from Washington State, USA on December 25, 2018:

Thank you Manatita. The greatest gift we can give to each other is the gift of friendship and love. I am both elated and yet humbled that you accept me as a friend.

To Linda Lum: Re-Pasted

manatita44

10 hours ago from london

Good day again, My Sweet:

O Love! My Love, Come!

"The breath of Love, God's own sweet Dove;

The breath of Love, below, above.

When I did bathe in ignorance dire,

Love molded me in burning fire.

Intoxicated in His flame, became,

A Lover of my Father's name.

I drank in Jesus' vineyard bright,

Sweet wine of heaven, Love's Delight.

For He was Love and Love was He,

Erased desire; set me free.

All minstrels played Love's melody,

Inside my Soul, such rhapsody!

Now drunk and reeling like a kite,

Soaked in the wine of God's own Light."

-Manatita, 24th December, 2018. A spontaneous piece for Christmas.

Thank you so much!! Great knowing you and your loving Heart, Praise Be, Hallelujah! Merry Christmas!

Miz,

Lol. You are reading in detail. Yes, yes, you will definitely understand. It was not meant for you. Lol. But they like talking about the ocean and feel that they are an authority on it. We mystics say that the individual who thinks he knows, is as equally convinced as the one who knows he knows.

That poem is for Linda. Cute, eh? I thank you for your friendship over the years. Merry Christmas this day to you and loved ones.

Doris James MizBejabbers from Beautiful South on December 24, 2018:

I read your poem and I understand it, but darn me if I can explain it back to anyone. I think you just have to "grok" it. (Do you remember the Heinlein-created word He said there were things that a person could understand but not put into words, so he coined the word "grok" for that feeling.)

I think there are a lot of people like that. They see the ocean in front of them. They know they will enjoy it, but they don't want to leave their comfort zone and get wet.

I enjoyed your spontaneous Christmas poem, too. Thanks for adding it in the comments.

Linda Lum from Washington State, USA on December 24, 2018:

Manatita, we are striving each day to gain more wisdom. When are we finished? When God calls us home to be with Him. Thank you for these beautiful passages today reminding us of the perfect Love.

A busy day here, so I must rush a bit. Wishing you love and peace always, my friend. Thank you for your wisdom, kindness, and friendship.

Li-Jen Hew on December 24, 2018:

Hi Manatita, I can see the Light in your poem haha. You have demonstrated how can we truly know when we do not acquire the knowledge. I admire the matter of fact tone that is leading the way and the choice of words. Thanks!
