Why Judge Me?
"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."- Matthew 7:1-2
Why judge me for my dark skin
when I have done you no sin
Why judge me for my coarse hair
when all I have done is care
Why judge me for my small eyes
when I have only been nice
Why judge me for my flat nose
when I've tried not to impose
Why judge me for my wide mouth
when I've been honest no doubt
Why judge me for my full lips
when I don't do dirty tricks
Why judge me for my gap teeth
when I give you space to breathe
Why judge me for my big breasts
when I wish you to be blessed
Why judge me for my large waist
when I don't judge you in haste
Why judge me for my wide hips
when good words come from my lips
Why judge me for my big butt
when I help no matter what
Why judge me for my rough hands
when all hardships I withstand
Why judge me for my bowled legs
when I can be a good friend
Why judge me for my rough heels
when you don't know my ordeals
Why judge my obesity
when we can live peacefully
Do not judge by what you see
not until you have known me
And even if we differ
let’s be brothers and sisters
We can argue or agree
and agree to disagree
No need to be judgemental
Kindness is fundamental
Try to be understanding
who knows it'll be life-changing
So if you can show kindness
Go ahead, spread happiness
“Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.” - Dalai Lama
“Be kind, don’t judge, and have respect for others. If we can all do this, the world would be a better place. The point is to teach this to the next generation.” - Jasmine Guinness

What a great message! Those who have subdued treating other people poorly they know that it doesn't degrade you it degrades them.
I hope you have a great night!

I really support this cause. We are too quick to be judgemental. Beautifully written.

What a wonderful message in this poem. If only people didn’t judge for all those things. We should never judge from appearances. We need to get to know each other. Nice work Harriet.
