Why Am I Sin?

I have stumbled across a new passion: writing. It is proving to be insightful and rewarding.

Down deep within I spin.

Why am I a sin?

Does the cycle ever end?

Will I ever be clean?

My mind is so deceitful.

Who says I’m not clean?

Those damn lessons about sin?

Never ending slight lives within.

Why is the message ingrained with such hate?

Will I ever make it inside that great gate?

What makes us feel spent?

Will we ever repent?

Listen to this!

In repentance and rest is your deliverance,

In quietness and trust is your strength,

No time to flee, turn back to me!

The sin of judgment lives deep within.

The only way out is through forgiveness of sin.

Settle on complete deliverance within my forgiveness, eternal forgiveness.

For everyone who asks, yet receives.

Well said, Laurie. Isaiah 30:15: "In repentance and rest is your deliverance / In quietness and trust is your strength" is one of my favorite verses. I love this poem. Thanks for sharing it.
