Whispering Praises to Love. Wednesday's Inspiration 8, to Bill and Beverley Holland

Manatita is an esteemed author living in London, UK. He writes spiritual books, flash fiction and esoteric poetry, his favourite genre.

Whispering Praises to Love

I watch with a heavenly silence; see the rays

Of sunlight shimmering through the woods.

The verdant earth, mirrors a trail of shadowy

Trees and a residual trace of auburn.

The verdure of the foliage and surroundings...

The melody from the chirping of starlings, speak

To me of reverence. I gaze at the frolicking of

Squirrels, flooding my soul with tranquillity.

The Light of beauty spreads, like a canopy,

Covering the nakedness of the forest.

The tanned pines stand tall in their majesty,

Heralding the advent of summer.

An opalescent sky peeps through, as my heart

Dances with serenity, whispering praises to Love.

-Manatita, The Lantern Carrier. 24th June, 2020

The Wonder Of Nature And The Miracle Of Creation

Above the undulating hills, white clouds disperse.

The vastness of a royal blue peeps though, blanketing

The plains with its splendour. My soul touches the breath

Of meandering streams, kissing the lushness of nature.

The trees rise to the beauty of surroundings;

Paying homage to their verdure and fertility.

‘pon distant trails I walk my dog, my soul soaring

On tomorrows, embracing the crest of the rising sun.

The valley runs deep –aqua-marine stillness,

Replacing my comedy of shadows. Green foliage,

Ever-anew, whispers to my emotions, of the solace

Of perennial Silence, tugging at the pulse of my Being.

I sit quietly with Maggie, gleefully wagging her tail,

While we both offer gratitude, for the miracle of Creation.

-Manatita, The Lantern Carrier. 24th June, 2020.

Your Sweet Kiss is Everything!

" Looking at the stars, the moon ... the

Perennial galaxies are not enough.

I gaze at Your silhouette, Your cheeks ... the allure of your smile.

I feel the redolence of Your breath; the rapture with which

You envelop my soul. It is only then I know,

That by obtaining Thy sweet kiss, I obtain everything!."

God bless you, Manatita.

manatita44 (author) from london on June 24, 2020:

Marlene, one of my recent poems or articles, are dedicated to you. Check it out.

Yes, my style is deliberate. I'm addressing God but add a twist. The Persian poets wrote that way. So even if one places the poem into the mundane, there's still benefit.

Practically the whole of the Persian world are familiar with Rumi's poetry. He was a man of God but he spoke mostly of Love which could easily relate to the human condition. Look at a few of his videos. There are many here.

Both you and Shauna are looking at my videos. I'm so happy! Peace.

manatita44 (author) from london on June 24, 2020:

First of all, there's a light bulb above me and a picture to my left with a glow. However, there does seem to be a coming and going of a light, now that I have looked.

This was pointed out to me some years ago when my picture was taken reciting poetry in public. It's not there when I'm not reciting, but appears when I'm doing something spiritual. The first time it happened, I was doing Guru's poetry.

I'm not surprised. We all have auras and Sri Chinmoy tells us that some disciples he gives what he calls emanations in addition. They are more powerful than angels and take messages to the Master, if things go wrong. Wrong or not, they remain with the disciples who have them. Hope this helps.

More to add. Sri Chinmoy speaks of the psychic child which develops in humans. The more developed spiritually, the greater the psychic being. It is an asset or companion of the soul, so to speak. 'Nuff said.

Marlene Bertrand from USA on June 24, 2020:

Beautiful! I enjoyed all of your poems. When I watched your video, I immediately thought of my lover, my friend, my soulmate, and my husband (all the same person).

Shauna L Bowling from Central Florida on June 24, 2020:

Manatita, watch your video. Do you see what I see regarding the light?

manatita44 (author) from london on June 24, 2020:

Thank you, my Didi Ji.

It is a very loving sentiment indeed. I bid you much Peace.

How are things with you and family?

Wow! from the woman who used to struggle - my your admission - with my poetry, to the present, then this is unbelievably beautiful coming from you. Admittedly I based these two pieces on nature, but they are still infused with my esoteric style.

The video is different. Love you, Sha! Stay safe!

Shauna L Bowling from Central Florida on June 24, 2020:

Manatita, these beautiful poems speak of Bill's heart and gentle soul. Nature is paramount to Bill and Bev's existence, creativity, and love.

Absolutely superb offerings!

I don't know if anyone else saw it, but as you were reciting "I Wish to be a Lover, With You as My Rose", the light behind you gently gyrated in varying degrees of brightness. You truly are The Lantern Carrier. I saw it with my own eyes!

Chitrangada Sharan from New Delhi, India on June 24, 2020:
