When Hope Curdles Dismay

Poeticnurse is a Student Nurse studying for her BSc at the university of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.

On the day I asked myself
what will my life be?
when my hope curdled dismay
and fear for the morrow called out my name.
like a withered sunflower who had
hidden under the rock of darkness,
On the day voices of uncertainty waned
God spoke to me as the smile of a little Princess
he spoke without a word,
"For God is a well of water to a parched throat"
He was the smile who told me I will be well
I will break into freedom.
and my relationship with the sun
will become passionate again.
I smiled
With hope alive again!

This is a beautifully written poem. I loved it and the rhyming flowed beautifully throughout making the whole poem come together nicely....
