When You Speak to Me

I'm a writer, a poet, a dreamer. Born and raised in New York City. I now live in Daytona Beach, Florida with my wonderful cat Sid.

when-you-speak-to-me

Whenever you speak to me,

of love, my heart begins to flutter.

Your smile as bright as the sun

and your sparkling eyes –

make me breathless all the while.

When you speak to me,

tell me how much you love me,

in my very soul,

the spark of love –

begins to kindle.

Moments fly,

with special dreams,

on my mind –

as you speak of love to me.

I knew it would be so,

that we were meant to be,

for you take my hand,

you kiss me so tenderly

and then steal my heart away –

when you speak to me.

It was never so,

it was always I don’t know,

never knew if love was true,

until the day I looked deep into your eyes

and you began to speak to me.

Word are just words,

but words of love,

are so much more.

They fill the heart and soul,

they bring love

and happiness.

Never knew such joy, such bliss,

until the day you came along,

until the time we sat side by side

and you spoke to me.

There's nothing more special than two lovers speaking from their hearts. You captured the feeling perfectly.
