When You Return
When you need love, I will be love
But you are a bird and that is the life you live
I don’t know what you want me for
I’m not standing behind every closed door
I want to see you but how often?
I don’t know how long restlessness can love
We will make footprints in the snow
And when they are gone so too will be you
How different must I be
Roots growing from branches of a Banyon tree
But I live near the flat lands
So I can see the sun as long as it may set
I will be only thought fondness, until you return
But do you go to escape the past or to find it?
