When I said I was 'Karma'

Author:

BeckyTP formally known as Rebecca Moraa is a student at Moi University Main Campus Kenya. My passion in poetry grew in primary school.

I told you I was a beast
But you listened to your heart
You knew I was telling the truth
When I said I was Karma
And here you sit regretting

It hurts to know it's on you
Because you were warned in advance
But you couldn't listen a pint
You followed your stupid heart
And ignored your genius brains
Now look where it dumped you

When I said I was Karma herself
You thought I was avoiding you
But I wanna give you a little advice
To salvage your next relationship
Because I still care about you

Next time you meet her
Please be the man in the relationship
Keep close and make it fun
Give her something to hold on to
So she won't leave like I did

If she says she needs to talk
Please don't avoid her; listen keenly
When she misses you, be there for her
And train yourself to appreciate her

Women love the silly side; don't shy
Get stupid with her; love is stupid
Text her each day; so someone else doesn't
Trust me she won't leave; she'll stay.
